Whizzing by, the e-bikes looked like wasps from an aerial view. The riders appeared as helmeted flying creatures on wheels. Loreen observed all of this. She owned a percentage of Vendabikes which dispensed from vending machines. She stood next to the CEO Trenton Court. She wore a gray business suit and green pumps. He wore a dark brown suit and a peach tie and towered a full foot and a half above her.
“They’re trying to shut us down,” Court lamented.
“The collisions….” Businesswoman replied.
“But you have no control over that. You make entire ad campaigns warning and encouraging people, mainly kids to helmet up.” Her worry lines showed on her face.
The park where they stood had been privatized by Loreen and she felt compelled to at least permit people to use the bikes on her property.
“I really appreciate this, Lor’,” Court thanked her. She nodded her head and continued to look at the bikers. “We’re going to shut down the arm that manufac—”
“No, you’re not. We’re going to show that these ebikes are safe and cool. It all depends on the user. You don’t blame the gun, you blame the shooter.”
“I do recognize your tenacity and still wonder how you pack all of that in your petite frame, but—”
“But nothing,” she interrupted him again. “We’ve got to show what people fail to see is that helmets not only save lives but also are aerodynamic and show intelligence. Anyone who dons one is showing their smarts.”
“You’ve always been a bit of nitro to the soul. I’m glad you’re on my board. Maybe you can persuade the rest to keep these bikes on the roads.”
“I know I can.”
Court looked at her with a keen eye. Her energy emanated from her small figure.
