A Time For Everything
Enjoy While You Have It
I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, exhaled and smiled as I opened my eyes. Seeing stalks sprouting gracefully and vines colliding into each other in unity as they tangle their way through the mosses with force made me to realize that bare land can even surprise you over time when graced with dew and time.
You see logs that were once dry, without life, now turn into a generous abode and substrate for these community of organisms. Allowing the wetness to diffuse through their stems and break their cell walls became a blessing in disguise as they rot away, making room for plants to thrive and worms to glide with ease.
An insect too small to identify and name by species took flight in between the petioles as if it was a drone flying amongst tall buildings in a big city. I can only imagine the joy it feels as it rested on the leaves.
It is rainy season and life is flourishing as steadfast as it should. I then realize that dry season also brings its own steadfast patterns and life dances to its rhythm as well. These leaves might not look fresh and green as they are now so I must enjoy the blessings of what is before me while I still have them. "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." ~ Ecclesiastes 3:1
