A Helpful Demon's Tale

The good demon.

By KennethPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

In the kingdom of darkness, there was a demon named Azazel. Unlike most demons, Azazel was born with a heart of gold. He didn't enjoy causing pain and suffering, but his society demanded it.

Whenever his demon brethren would go out to bring pain to the living world, Azazel would stay behind, often studying ancient texts and learning about the history of the universe. He spent most of his time trying to find a way to exist peacefully without needing to hurt others.

One day, Azazel stumbled upon a magical spell that could convert his demonic powers into benevolent energies, allowing him to use them to help people. Excited by the possibility of serving the good, he poured all his heart and soul into mastering this spell.

When he got the hang of it, he traveled to the living world, searching for people who were struggling, sick or in need of help. His demonic powers now allowed him to grant wishes and heal the sick without causing any harm whatsoever.

People were naturally skeptical of Azazel at first, but once they realized how noble he was and how much he wanted to help, they welcomed him with open arms. Azazel became known as the healer and protector of the community, and many came to visit him for help.

But Azazel's actions did not go unnoticed and his demon kin, in blatant defiance and disgust, accused him of betraying their pact and not only punished him but also banished him from the kingdom of darkness.

For years Azazel lived among the people of the living world, until he became old and frail. But it didn't stop him from imparting his knowledge and taking in apprentices. His legacy continued with his pupils journeying far and wide, sharing his teachings and his magic with all those who needed it.

And so it was that Azazel's name eventually became synonymous with hope and benevolence. He might have left behind the kingdom of darkness, but it was in the living world that his light truly shone.
