If we had hopped on a different bus,

You would be breathing your reality’

Shaken by the smoke,

I forgot how to exist without your nonsense-

Every passing comment by you on my realm;

I long for your hum.

The strokes of my painting brushes,

the essence of you,

the radiance of vermilion.

I wish I had never left the valley.

Searching for the door of riot,

I found fire with you.

You stared at the falling leaf;

I burned you like one on my porch.

Between the glances and departure,

I wish I had never left the valley.
