*The Little Ant's Big Adventure*
In a bustling colony beneath the sun-kissed earth, there lived a small but curious ant named Annie. Annie was always fascinated by the world above ground, where the sun shone bright and the air was sweet with the scent of blooming flowers.
One day, Annie decided to embark on an adventure to explore the unknown. She scurried up a blade of grass, her tiny feet tickling the smooth surface, and reached the top just as a gentle breeze whispered secrets in her antennae.
As she gazed out at the vast expanse, Annie spotted a crumb dropped by a careless picnicker. Her eyes gleamed with excitement, and she scurried down the grass blade to claim her prize.
But as she reached the crumb, Annie realized it was much larger than she had anticipated. Undeterred, she rallied her fellow ants, and together they formed a line to transport the crumb back to their colony.
As they marched, Annie realized that even the smallest creatures can achieve great things through teamwork and determination. From that day on, Annie became known as the bravest ant in the colony, and her legendary adventure inspired generations of ants to come.

I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to get into this book at first, put off by this idea of the literal transformation of the story’s human protagonist into a dog, but Rachel Yoder’s impeccable writing made her physical transformation just as poignant and as meaningful as her psychological one. The metaphor of Nightbitch’s transformation into a dog displays the animalistic side of motherhood, the side that can be ugly while being strangely beautiful, in all of its love and its violence. Motherhood is a complex, multi-faceted gift, and a curse, and a miracle.

Most known and unknown felling at the same time-L O V E
I’ve always known that I’ve had mental health issues. And I was frightened of getting close to people because I didn’t want to be a burden. I felt I was weak and I was needy and I needed pity. I can remember being terrified, absolutely terrified, of them turning round and saying ‘no, I don’t want to be your friend.’ But I have such a lovely network of people, and I love the bones of them. And I don’t think any of us have met and I think that’s incredibly powerful. It’s lovely that you can have such a strength of feeling towards somebody you haven’t actually met.
