The clock on the wall counts Danny' last seconds. He was standing in the dark room with beads of sweat on his forehead and his heart was beating like a drum. The door suddenly opened and three masked men rushed in, guns pointed at him.

Danny's heart was pounding. He knew he was very upset. He looked at the small safe hidden under his desk, which held the key to the secret he had sworn to protect with his life.

Danny's fingers twitched and he instinctively reached into his shirt pocket where his keys were kept. His eyes darted around the room, searching for a way out of this deadly situation.

He suddenly heard a clicking sound. The sound was like a gunshot echoing through the tense silence. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Danny froze, his heart stopping for a moment. One-minute left. It was the only thing he had time for.

"Last chance, Danny," said the first voice, displeasure evident in its voice.

Rushing with adrenaline, Danny ran to safety, his fingers fiddling with the system. Sweat was dripping from his forehead, his eyes were blurry, but he refused to stop. He needed to buy himself time, just a few more minutes to find his way.

The safe was opened, its key glowing in the dim light. Danny held her, his heart hammering in his chest like a jackhammer. He turned to his attacker; keys clenched in his fists.

"There," Danny said, his voice steady despite the fear coursing through his veins. "Take it."

The masked man hesitated and exchanged wary glances. Then one of them quickly stepped forward and took the key from Danny's hand. Danny stumbled back; his breath hitched as he watched them retreat, disappearing into the shadows as quickly as they came.

Finally, Danny fell to the ground alone, the weight of the world on his shoulders. He survived, but at what cost? The key was gone, and he had lost it forever, along with the secret inside.

As the final seconds passed, Danny closed his eyes filled with regret. He was afraid of everything and lost. Now, as the clock approaches zero, there is nothing to do but wait for the inevitable.
