Unexpected and Delightful | Thornhedge Review
I absolutely loved Thornhedge, again bewildered and amazed by Kingfisher and her work. Storytelling This was not the story I was expecting. However, with Kingfisher, I have learned to expect the unexpected. This is a retelling, of sorts, of Sleeping Beauty. Toadling was stolen from her human family as a child and raised by the fairies, safe and loved.

"The Dangers of Smoking in Bed" A Review of Mariana Enriquez's Collection of Short Horrors
Disturbing, disgusting, and somehow... cozy? If you were to ask me what three words I would use to describe, The Dangers of Smoking in Bed by Mariana Enriquez, those would be them. Maybe 'cozy' isn't the right word, though. The more appropriate term might be more along the lines of 'sublime,' although not in the traditional sense. That being said, The Dangers of Smoking in Bed are not traditional horror stories.

The Siege by Ben Macintyre
Summary The Siege by Ben Macintyre offers a detailed analytical account of the real account of the Iranian Embassy siege in London in 1980. ‘’The Siege’ is a compelling recollection of the six-day hostage crisis which as the author notes transformed both British politics and world terrorism. The focal of the story is a besiege of the embassy by several Iranian militants who captured several hostages and demanded the release of prisoners in Iran. The government of the United Kingdom did not waste time with deliberation as it embarked on complicated negotiations as well as a military action known as Operation Nimrod. Macintyre first presents the gunmen and the hostages as real as well as the SAS soldiers that stormed the building thus elucidating the human side of the daring drama.

Summary Marian Keyes’ My Favourite Mistake is a powerful novel about change, strength and the issue of self. Message Deleted
Summary As some of the themes that run through the story can be classified as secrets, revenge and survival, K.L. Slater’s gripping novel Message Deleted deserves to be classified as a psychological thriller. This story begins with Saffy, a single mother, who has no idea how her life got disturbed by some Mystery Deleted Messages and how her best friend Leona and her family went missing. The suspense in Saffy’s quest revolves around her attempts to find out the truth, the fractious relationships which have endured her dysfunctional childhood, history of sexual abuse, and high levels of suspicion.
