Never Lie: The Thriller That Proved Me Completely Wrong

First of all, bless Freida McFadden for skipping the unnecessary long introduction and getting straight into the story.

From the very first pages, I was already questioning everything. What happened here? Who can I trust? What am I missing? I immediately found myself trying to connect all the little pieces and figure out where the story was going.

And honestly, I thought I had it figured out.

I remember thinking, “Great… another thriller I’m going to predict halfway through.”

Oh, how wrong I was.

The plot twist had me genuinely SHOOK.

What I loved most was that after the twist, everything started making sense. All those little details I had completely overlooked suddenly clicked into place. Things I hadn't thought twice about suddenly felt important, and I found myself looking back at earlier parts of the story with a completely different perspective.

I genuinely thought I had figured out what was happening, but this book proved me wrong in the best possible way.

That is exactly what I want from a thriller.

I don't want to spend the entire book feeling like I'm five steps ahead of the author. I want to be suspicious, make theories, convince myself I'm right, and then have the book completely destroy my theory.

And Never Lie did exactly that.

I had such a great time reading this book. It was fast paced, easy to get into, and most importantly, it actually managed to surprise me.

If you're someone who thinks you can predict every thriller before the ending, I definitely recommend giving Never Lie a try.

Just don't be too confident in your theories.
