More Short Book Blurbs

Here are a few more books that I have read over the past months. This group of books are mainly romance, but a few could be fantasy as well as mystery crime stories. I have a stack of these books that will be presented with a short summary and how one could use it somehow even with the romance stories maybe.

The first book is 'Brave the Wild Wind' written by Johanna Lindsay is a historical romance that finds the character of Jessie Blair finding out who she really is for when she was born her dad thought she was a boy and named him/her Kenneth. When she grew up meets a person will she learn all she needs to know about herself and those around her?

'A Long Time Gone' is a family story that is a mix of mystery and romance and in a way time travel written by Karen White. It is the story of three women by the names of Vivien Walker Moise, Adelaide Walker Bodine and Chloe. It is a time travel novel that spans several decades to solve a murder mystery from the 1920's and how that murder effects 1960's and into the 1980's. One who reads will see the simlarities and differences of living in those eras.

'The Scalpel and The Sword' written by R. John Thorpe is a historical fiction story of the 19th century. It's the story of how John Houston, an Irishman, doctor, soldier will travel the world in search of what and who will make him happy. Will it be the military or civilian life or maybe even both?

'The Darkest Pleasure' is a part of the 'Lords of the Underworld' series written by Gena Showalter. This is the story of Danika Ford and her 'fight' with the various lords of the underworld and just who and what they are about. She meets Reyes and a few other such demons for he needs to figure our who is really in control. To me this is a story of love and evil as well as good and bad and all about the choices that one must make.
