As a single young person I found cooking tedious and time consuming. I much preferred to spend my time talking to people, doing school work or binge watching Netflix. However, after having a baby I decided that learning to cook and bake would be important for many reasons and here is why:
The way we fell in love, it was like a movie. Not like those where you spot someone from across the room and know they are the one you want to grow old with. No, this was a slow-growing overwhelming sense of desire, need, and lust for one another. Our bodies found their way forming into a beautiful masterpiece when we were together. Our minds spoke words you could never imagine. I was the dreamer and he the realist. Which, in itself, is funny to say considering the goals we had had for our lives when we first began talking.
So I am a fairly alternative person. I have been for years. I got my first nose ear piercing at 16, first tattoo at 18, and started dying my hair at 14. I always knew people judged those with body modifications but had never really experienced anything that bad prior to this story. Sure, I got the usual dirty looks and inappropriate comments that went anywhere from sexual innuendo to "You were so pretty before you did that." To which I responded, "I still am."
Welcoming home any new pet is exciting but can also be a little stressful. Are they going to love you? Will you love them? Will they cause problems with any resident pets? So many questions and so much love all coming out at the same time.
