As much as a conspiracy theory as it might sound like, the theory of Big Brother is real. For those who have not read 1984 by George Orwell, or have seen the reality show, Big Brother means you are being watched all the time. 24/7, someone is always watching whether you realize it or not. The original premise of Big Brother was that the government was always watching us through everything in society, and used this to control our minds (which frankly is really creepy). This was a fear that many thought we were going to face and mainly feared. Now we sit in 2017 and we are not being mind controlled by our government (well not openly at least). But yet we are still being watched without even knowing about it.
Most people dream of the last week of August in their first year out of high school. The goal is to move out of your parent's place and move into your own place (most times residence) to attend post-secondary school. However, not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to afford to move out, or it is "easier" to stay home. Every student reads and hears about the struggles of moving away, most social media posts of "life as a student" is the struggle of not being home. Then, there are the schools who promote living in residence or away from home and offer extra resources and clubs to support those who are struggling.
