The Creator
CAUTION: SPOILERS AHEAD. The Creator is what every good movie ought to be. Thought-provoking, grounded, visually stunning, and heartfelt. This is especially important when it comes to science fiction movies in the twentieth century, where the film industry has become hyper-focused on creating things that can be turned into franchises, AKA cash cows they can milk until the cow collapses.

Rebel Moon is the Future of Entertainment. Top Story - December 2023.
CAUTION: SPOILERS AHEAD. There is no nice way of putting it. Rebel Moon is terrible. But not terrible for the reasons that most people have noticed. After being out for a little less than two weeks, most people have panned the movie for what it is. A sloppy, copy and paste job of some of the most popular science fiction franchises. However, Rebel Moon is far more problematic than that. It goes beyond common sci-fi tropes. It mashes together nearly every successful genre possible in hopes of appealing to the majority people. In doing this, it is everything and nothing at once.

Five Hard Sci-fi Elements Overlooked in Lightyear
*****SPOILER ALERT IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE MOVIE***** First, I want to say that Lightyear is a great family movie with fun and entertainment for all ages. But rather than do the typical movie review, I want to focus on some of the details that stood out to me, as both great details and things one would not expect from a more family.

What Happened to Anakin's Hand?
Star Wars fandom forgive me in advance if I am not as well versed in the lore, and someone else has covered this subject. I read many of the extended universe books that came out in the 90s and early 2000s, but since entering the workforce, they have slipped out of my library.

My Top Five Podcasts
We all have a limited amount of time in our day. And many of us like learning new information. However, not everyone has the time to sit and read every news story or book. For me, that is where podcasts come in. Many people deride the idea of listening to podcasts. I was one of those people at one point, especially because my dad subjected me to many hours of talk radio as a child. However, podcasts are a long way from what talk radio used to be. Gone are the days where your only real options are a show with dry, but factual information versus amped political rants( those still exist, you just have more options now). If you’re looking for some casual listening that is also interesting, I recommend trying one of these five podcasts. The order of the list carries no weight, as I found it only fair to list them in chronological order when I started listening to them.

I Have Become AFOL
Okay, okay, I know that the title is not grammatically correct. Well, not grammatically correct if you break apart the acronym of AFOL. But what or who is AFOL? Is it the Abstract Friends of Oscar Leonard? Or the Australian Federation of Onion Lovers? No, it is neither of these. AFOL is an acronym that stands for Adult Fans of LEGO, and is pronounced like the word awful.
