Once upon a time, in the mystical realm of Eldoria, there lived a small and mischievous demon named Zephyr. Unlike the fearsome demons often depicted in legends, Zephyr was a pint-sized creature with shimmering green skin, tiny horns, and playful, glowing yellow eyes. While other demons were known for their wickedness and destruction, Zephyr's heart was filled with curiosity and a mischievous spirit.
Zephyr lived in a quaint, hidden cottage nestled deep within the enchanted forest. Surrounded by towering trees and vibrant flowers, the cottage was his sanctuary. His favorite pastime was exploring the nooks and crannies of the forest, discovering hidden treasures and secrets that lay within.
One sunny morning, Zephyr woke up with an extra bounce in his step. He had heard whispers among the forest creatures about a legendary artifact known as the "Eternal Flame," said to possess incredible powers and guarded by mythical creatures. Zephyr's insatiable curiosity got the better of him, and he decided that he had to find the flame.
Setting off on his grand adventure, Zephyr skipped and hopped through the thick foliage, his tiny wings fluttering behind him. Along the way, he encountered various creatures of Eldoria who warned him about the dangers that awaited him. But Zephyr brushed off their concerns, fueled by his determination to discover the Eternal Flame.
As he journeyed deeper into the forest, Zephyr stumbled upon a rickety old bridge that stretched across a wide chasm. Sensing an opportunity for mischief, he decided to test the bridge's stability. With each step, the bridge creaked and groaned, threatening to collapse. Zephyr couldn't help but giggle at his own mischievousness, even though his heart raced with excitement.
Finally, after many adventures and close encounters with mystical beings, Zephyr arrived at a hidden cave, where the Eternal Flame was said to reside. The entrance was guarded by a massive stone golem, its eyes glowing like fiery embers. Fearlessly, Zephyr approached the golem and began to dance around it, distracting the guardian with his playful antics. The golem, fascinated by the small demon's spirited performance, laughed heartily and allowed him to pass.
Inside the cave, Zephyr discovered a breathtaking sight—a dazzling flame, flickering and dancing with a mesmerizing glow. The room was filled with an aura of ancient power, and Zephyr could feel the energy pulsating through his tiny body. He reached out to touch the flame, but before his fingers made contact, a voice boomed throughout the cave.
"Who dares disturb the sacred flame?" it echoed.
Zephyr's heart skipped a beat, but he summoned his courage and replied, "It is I, Zephyr, a humble demon seeking knowledge and adventure."
The voice softened, and the flame spoke, "Your heart is pure, little demon. I shall grant you a gift—a spark of eternal wisdom that will guide your mischief to bring joy to others."
With that, the Eternal Flame sent forth a small spark, which gently landed on Zephyr's forehead. Instantly, he felt a surge of knowledge and understanding.
Filled with newfound wisdom, Zephyr left the cave, his heart brimming with excitement for the mischief he could now create. But this time, his pranks were laced with kindness and laughter, spreading joy and happiness to all he encountered.
From that day forward, Zephyr became known as the "Mirthful Demon." He continued to explore Eldoria, weaving his playful magic wherever he went, bringing smiles to the faces of both humans and magical creatures alike.

Who hasn't heard the name Emmaline Pankhurst, founder of the Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU), an all-women organisation campaigning for the right to vote? The group that helped to achieve the right to vote for women in Great Britain and Ireland in 1918. Some know of her daughter Christabel, both being honoured by the Pankhurst memorial in Victoria Palace Gardens, London, right next to the UK Parliament buildings. Sylvia Pankhurst is notably not included in the monument. Why? Because she split with the WSPU to campaign against Britain's entry into First World War.

Most people talk about things that bother them as a way to vent their emotions, another way is through writing. As I sit writing in my car, I ponder how much writing, in itself, has helped me become the person I am today. I have endless amounts of pages filled with poems, stories, and sometimes random blurbs. Writing is a window into your soul.
