Former President Bill Clinton, Painted From Life by Elijah McKenzie-Jackson, Unveiled in Solo Exhibition
Very few artists have painted an American president from life. Gilbert Stuart painted George Washington from sittings. Elaine de Kooning sketched John F. Kennedy in Palm Beach as he moved, talked and read. London-born painter Elijah McKenzie-Jackson has now painted former President Bill Clinton the same way.

Move over David here comes The Thinker
The Thinker sculpture by Auguste Rodin is another of my favorite art pieces. I have a sculpture of The Thinker of my own because I love it so much. Also this piece like all of the others I have written about have always spoken to me and left an impression on me. I found the statue at a Home Goods store and I could not resist.

Industrial Still Life
This work presents a study in compositional equilibrium, achieved through a stark juxtaposition of mass, fragility and luminance. Occupying the central-left register is an industrial lathe, a specimen of mechanical density that anchors the pictorial space. To its right a single lightbulb provides a delicate counterpoint to the machine’s heavy verticality. The painting is defined by a sophisticated spatial compression, where the background is divided into two distinct tonal realms: a deep, scumbled abyss of shadow on the left and a vibrant, saturated yellow on the right. This transition is not merely decorative; it establishes tension between the "darkness of the past" and a heralded technological future.

The Selena Salt portrait
I find it amazing what can be done using salt for artsake for example in this case there is a San Antonio, Texas artist named Rob The Original who had done a portrait of Selena using only salt and that is just an amazing idea. When the artist was creating this one of a kind portrait 250,000 people watched as this amazing work of art was being created. Selena’s brother AB Quintanilla was also present for the creation of the Selena salt portrait. The presentation was held at a Mexican restaurant located somewhere in San Antonio. It is too bad that salt can not be framed.

Gustavo Montoya
Gustavo Montoya was and is a talented Mexican painter who passed in the early 2000’s, he painted portraits of the towns children, he painted scenes from the town from which he had been born. I discovered this artist and his work by accident when we were studying Frida and Diego. He used to hang around with both fellow painters and all three were friends.

I saw the Imagine Peace Tower
I was in awe of it, and I showed it to my mother; that peace was something beautiful to see. I saw a little bit of it, and I was still inspired, and I still remember it to this day. Besides, you don’t see something beautiful like that every day. You’re doing a wonderful job creating this beautiful imaginary Tower of Peace. Later, I had a poster of the tower in my room.

Frida the movie
I saw the Frida Kahlo movie starring Salma Hayek as Frida Kahlo. It was a great movie, and Frida Kahlo lived a hellish life, and her marriage to the Mexican painter Diego Rivera was as wild and tumultuous as he was. She painted from her sickbed; all her paintings were ways in which she told the story of her life to the world and beyond. The paintings that Frida created were as free and wild as she was. Frida Kahlo was a free spirit and a wild child before both were a thing. Frida Kahlo is and was. I saw the Frida Kahlo movie starring Salma Hayek as Frida Kahlo. Nighthawks
Edward Hopper created the iconic painting known as "Nighthawks". It is one of my favorite pieces of artwork and in the piece the people are lost souls who don't know and to me Nighthawks represents purgatory. The piece is eerie and it is dark and drew me in to it. Actually Nighthawks was one of the first artworks that I paid attention to not only is it eerie and dark I couldn't stop staring it actually left me in trance and lost in the world of Nighthawks. The artist who created this piece has other works like this where he would paint actual scenes from around New York, it is only the place where he lived.

The Homies
When I was in highschool I used to collect The Homies figurines and I thought that they were cool as I still do. They were created by David Gonzales a fictional latin barrio in california and they are tightknit. I had a couple of posters as well as the figurines too. Each piece is a beautifully done little piece of art. There is a little kid spin off appropriately titled “Mijos” which is spanish for my children or my kids.
