- What does it mean?
- What does what mean?
- Your tattoo, “she is art”.
- Oh. Nothing much, just liked it.
Thats a lie, it does mean a lot.
Art doesnt have to be pretty to be appreciated.
Art doesnt have to make sense to be loved.
It is a universal language, where everyone can find a meaning behind it.
I always loved arts, in every shape and form. I loved looking at it, and I loved making it.
Behind every piece, there is a story- their story.
A very few people have this “talent” to create or the will to understand it, but I did.
I went through a lot. A lot of dark phases, thoughts, whatever. And the only thing that could bring my smile back was when I lost myself in this universe. A universe with no boundaries, no limits, no rules.
I use to think I could never get better, but in that place, everything is possible. And if everything is possible, getting out of this darkness could also be. So I stayed there, created about everything, my deepest thoughts, thoughts that I would never dare say out loud. So I wrote them, I drew them, I painted them. All these thoughts were who I was. So every pieces I created was part of the dark story that was my life. They were parts of me. They are parts of me.
Before getting this tattoo I talked about it with someone.
I cant lie, I dont remember much about the conversation but I do remember one comment they made.
“its pretty narcissistic to consider yourself as art, isnt it?”
Pretty narcissistic. It was interesting. I thought a lot about it, not reconsidering it in any kind. I just thought how pessimistic and sad that person must’ve been to turn such a beautiful sentence into something negative.
Anyways. Find me egocentric or think whatever you want, I honestly dont care. I do believe I am art. I believe a lot of people are.
Everyone has a story to tell, a place they came from to arrive where they are now.
I have a story, but that isnt the point now. The point is that my story made me who I am.
I am art.
