‘Mission: Chapter 1’ movie review ♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦

Director Vijay's most recent film, Mission: Chapter 1, is mostly an action movie, but it doesn't start out that way. In Tamil Nadu, a young girl named Sana is very ill and need surgery as soon as possible. This is a "rarest of the rare" situation, similar to most situations shown in movies, and it requires a London hospital's care.

The film was officially revealed in October 2022 under the title Achcham Enbadhu Illaiye, later however, the official title was announced as Mission: Chapter 1 – Achcham Enbadhu Illaiye in April 2023 after a production change. Development

It was announced in July 2022 that Arun Vijay and filmmaker A. L. Vijay would work together on their first project following Yaanai (2022), with the majority of the project's filming taking place in London and England.[2] It was reported in September that Amy Jackson would play the lead female role. This would be her first role opposite Arun and her third working with the director, following Madrasapattinam (2010) and Thaandavam (2012).[3] The production company financing the project, Sri Shridri Sai Movies, formally announced Arun, Vijay, and Jackson's partnership on October 5.[4]

Filming :Principal photography commenced with the first schedule on 4 October 2022 in London.[4]

Music :

The film's music was composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar.[5] The audio rights were acquired by Sony Music.The first single "Kannae Chella Kannae" was released on 3 January 2024.[6]The second single "Achamae Achamae" was released on 9 January 2024.[7]

Release :

The film was scheduled to release in theatres on 12 January 2024, during the week of Pongal.[8]

Reception :

"Mission Chapter 1 is an actioner that has a generic template and an effective cast, excluding a somewhat out-of-place Amy Jackson," wrote Roopa Radhakrishnan of The Times of India, giving the film a 2.5 out of 5.[9] "Director Vijay's Pongal release packs a lot of action but the storyline throws little surprises," stated Srinivasa Ramanujan of The Hindu.[10] Raisa Nasreen from Times Now rated the action-packed thriller "Arun Vijay's blends emotions and excitement," with a rating of three out of five stars. The creators think it will fulfill every requirement for the ideal entertainment.[11]

Gunasekhar, also known as Guna, departs for London to receive his daughter Sana, who has a life-threatening illness, treated at a higher level. But destiny has other plans for Guna; he ends up imprisoned at Wandsworth, one of the most security facilities, under the supervision of Sandra James, the jailer. The remaining plot revolves around Guna's attempt to break out of prison and go back with Sana.

Under the banners of Lyca Productions, Sri Shirdi Sai Movies, New March Fast Pictures, and Aspen Film Productions (P) Ltd., Subaskaran, M. Rajashekar, S. Swathi, Surya Vamsi Prasad Kotha, and Jeevan Kotha are producing the upcoming action thriller film Mission: Chapter 1 - Achcham Enbathu Illaiyae, which was written by A. Mahadev and directed by Vijay. The film's cinematography was done by Sandeep K. Vijay, while G. V. Prakash Kumar wrote the music and background score.
