It’s been a fantastic night. Again. One of the pretty ladies is still lying next to Mike between creamy, silky linens. Mike is a young man, in good shape and charming. He lives in a mansion with a pool, home cinema, gym, and everything that one successful single man could have. Every day is a dream on his fabulous property where the grass is greener and... you know.
Behind the fence, well, it's a different world. People are unpredictable, drive crazily, kill each other, and the city is wild. Once a year Mike likes to step out of his castle and join the world, kill someone random, and have some other fun things to do.
The sun rises, birds are singing, and it’s time to visit outside again. Wait, birds are singing. Birds are part of nature, and it’s been a long time since Mike has seen any nature. In fact, he can’t remember when he went out into nature at all. But he does know what it is, at least he thinks he knows.
He’s on a mission out of his mansion and starts to look for nature but can’t find it. There are the streets and more streets.
“Where can I find nature?” he asks a short blonde woman who’s dressed in a unicorn suit and is busy trying to convince her pet crocodile to go for a walk with her and leave the neighbour's thousand grass flamingos alone.
“What do you mean?” she pulls her crocodile a bit away from Mike's toes. “Nature? What about it?” and she is busy because there is a cow flying over them and, meanwhile, another neighbour is trying to shoot it. The crocodile is trying to hop to it as well. “Are you new or what? You just need to wish for it and it comes to you!!!!” and the woman gets randomly shot by the other neighbour, the teenage boy in a Wonder Woman suit, who missed the flying cow. So, the crocodile is free to run down as many flamingos as it wishes after it has let go of Mike’s leg. But that’s fine. Mike is shaking those teeth off, it doesn’t hurt, turns calmly around, and walks back to his mansion gates.
He had always dreamt about having big golden gates, with funny fauns blowing a flute, to his home, so he had them open quietly in front of him and let him onto the yellow entrance road so he could feel himself as a lion looking for the Wizard of Oz. There are flowers on the side of the road, and a butterfly lands on his hand. Mike likes butterflies, they look exactly like you have always imagined them from your childhood favourite books—one wing in one colour, another in another colour with even more colourful dots on it. The big teeth on a butterfly are a bit weird though.
"I just need to wish for it," he is in his thoughts on the way inside.
He sits on the stylish green sofa, which is decorated with diamonds on the sides of it, and takes some handmade chocolates from the carved wooden table and enjoys his luxurious surroundings and the best tastes he is so used to getting from every single bite. He's dreaming about nature.
"What on earth is that???" wonders Mike after hearing some screams and squeaks from the distance, cutting into his wonderful dream of beautiful nature where he's patting the zebra. Where does it come from?
It seems to come from somewhere behind the door that he has never been willing to open, even though he has lived in that house for as long as he can remember.
"Hmm, what do I remember?" (Scream in the background.) "Never mind."
He never had a reason to open this door because it leads to the basement, and the basement, in his mind, is a dark and unpleasant place. Luckily for him, there was never a need for him to go there. This time it was different; there was something going on there.
He opens the door carefully and sees that it is not dark in there, but rather light and green and smells interesting. He steps in and finds himself in the jungle.
"Nature! That's what she meant when she said that I need to wish for it. Nice!" Mike is amazed by the monkeys and birds in the trees leaning over his head. He walks further into the forest full of real nature creatures and wishes to see an elephant. He has always wanted to see an elephant. And guess what, he hears the crackling from the bushes and a big elephant steps in front of him, walks by, gives a moan, and goes on its own way. Mike sees a nice river with clear water in it and takes a sip of the freshest water he has ever tasted. All of a sudden, he sees a lion on the other side of the river.
"WOW, awesome! I have seen these ones before, sadly I don't remember where, but how sweet he is! Hey kitty kitty!" he speaks to the lion and walks towards him.
The lion judges him shortly, makes a jump, and breaks his neck in two seconds.
Mike is back in his living room, sitting on the green sofa. He's slightly confused. He didn't know that lions could harm anyone. But it was nice anyway; he might even consider using that basement door more often now. He steps out to take a fast swim in the pool, then he notices that butterfly with the teeth hanging in the air without moving a bit. He tries to poke it with his finger and it scatters into rainbows. He looks around, there is a bird hanging there also with open wings. He pokes it too and it also scatters into rainbows. Everything around him had stopped. His chef, who made those wonderful chocolates, was standing behind the corner. He had just dropped the plate with sweets, which were still hanging in the air. The man himself seemed frozen too, trying to catch the plate. Mike placed his hand on the chef and there were RAINBOWS again!
“FUCK!” yelled Mike.
Well, that was a pity because he really liked the food he was served by this chef. But, alright, he has seen some worse things happening outside, so it's probably just that someone has come over the fence and played some fool on him. Anyway, he has more than enough credit to get a new chef.
The pool started to flicker in front of Mike.
"That's something new..." he thinks, and in the blink of an eye, he's gone.
