  • After then select ‘Open File Location’ option from the menu.
  • Now, right-click on the Tiworker.exe file and then select ‘Scan with Malware Bytes option.

The tool will scan the file and give you the report if it contains any malicious code or not.

But, if you are still not satisfied with the process, you can disable it by following a few steps.

Well, if you want, then you can disable the Windows Module Installer using a few steps. There are two types of solutions, you can either stop it from running on the current session, or you can disable it permanently.

  • Open the Task Manager and click on the Processes, then look for Windows Modules Installer.
  • Right Click on the process and then select End Task option from the menu.

Once, the task is ended, you will no longer see extreme CPU Usage on the system. However, this is not the permanent solution; the process will come back once again after your restart the system.

  • Open Run and then type in Services and hit Enter
  • After that search for tiworker.exe and then right-click on it and select Properties.
  • After that, go to the general tab in the properties window and then go to the Startup section and select the disable option from the drop-down menu.

Once, you have disabled the Tiworker.exe from the startup, and it will not start when you turn on the PC. So, it won’t be hogging up too much memory on your system now. However, you can update windows 10 without any hassle by going into the settings page.
