At first

When you first lay your eyes on this device at your local wireless carrier retailer in person, nothing too noticeable from last years model stands out. But when you to take a closer look and discover a smaller bezel notch on the top of the screen, and the bigger cameras on the back, you start to realize the device’s identity. The previous 2020 iPhone 12 Pro had a wider bezel notch, so Apple has applied a newer and smaller front facing camera and face scanner to these recent iPhone models currently out.

When you pick it up with your hand, it feels thicker than IPhone 12 Pro and more expensive because the material on the sides is stainless steel. The glass Ceramic Shield feels smooth with oleophobic coating making the display anti-fingerprint resistant. For a $1,000 Smartphone, you’re only receiving the best out of the best. Apple likes to update their smart phone devices incrementally each year, developing a better iPhone with slightly new processors, and camera systems.

Pro models are tweaked with a cherry on top compared to their more affordable standard model for the current year. So when you decide to opt in for the pro model of iPhone, you’re getting a slightly better version that is for those who wish to have the most out of their phone. Thinking of getting the iPhone 13 Pro? Check out these deals on Amazon here.

It’s no wonder people love iPhones. So here are some other reasons why folks love iphones.

Display

By Faraz Arshad on Unsplash

like last year, the iPhone Pro features a super retina 6.1 inch (6.7 inch for iPhone 13 pro max)Super XDR display ,which is practically an OLED with high dynamic range. The only difference between the iPhone 12 pro and iPhone 13 Pro is the added 120 Hz refresh rate or what Apple has branded as ProMotion. So your images looks stunning with the XDR display, making darker colors truly dark and brighter colors much brighter for up to 1000 nits. When watching HDR videos in 1,200 nits on YouTube, its as if you’re looking out of a small window thanks to the super retina display where your eyes can’t even pick up any pixels on the screen. But it doesn’t stop there, with ProMotion, each animation or intense graphic game or video looks smooth and more fluid than on last year’s model.

In fact, Apple has decided against an always on 120 Hz refresh rate due to massive battery consumption so they have decided to toggle their frame rate of 120 Hz rate (ProMotion) refresh rate based on how fast you flick your finger on the screen, or with the app you’re using at the time. The refresh rate will go from 120 Hz all the way down to 60 Hz or below so you have an all day battery that last without compromising your usage.

Of course android users will argue how Samsung Galaxy and other models already had this refresh rate years ago and how Apple has just caught up. But again Apple hardware engineers knew that higher frame rates might drain battery life ,hence is why they decided on having toggle that switches the 120 hz off when it’s not needed. Not to mention, a bigger battery was needed to establish better usage throughout the day with less charging.

5G phone using mmWave(in US markets only)

The same idea was applied last year with the iPhone 12 lineup in correlation to their mm wave and 5G antennas, enabling a setting on default to toggle 5G to LTE when higher signals weren’t necessary. Of course iPhone 13 Pros and standard models come equipped with the same 5G antennas with the toggle set on default to preserve overall battery life.

Ceramic Shield keeps your IPhone 13 Pro resistant against cracks and small light scratches

Ceramic Shield is the glass that protects the iPhone 13 Pro from scratches and cracks or drops. But don’t get it twisted, the screen can scratch if you aren’t careful, just not as much or as often.

So if you accidentally drop this type of phone, chances are it’ll still be intact with no noticeable damage. My recommendation to be on the safe side is to apply for Apple Care + to insure your new iPhone if there’s an accidental drop or try an Apple approved screen protector.

Battery life

Battery life on the iPhone 13 Pro is the best in their lineup at the moment. Up to 28 hours of playback in up to 95 hours of audio/talking. So basically, the battery should last you about two days without charging. Not to mention that the iPhone 13 Pro models have bigger sized batteries (which explains the thickness of the device) that feels noticeable from its predecessor.

So if you’re one of those people who wants a smart device that last almost a day or two, an iPhone 13 Pro is definitely your choice of smart phone. Because let’s face it, no one wants to continue charging their phone throughout the day. So you need a device that can handle all day. Just so you know, machine learning picks up on all the apps you use the most and calculates all approximations to ensure that your battery life matches that of what apps you use or how long you use them. This is another reason to love iPhones.

New Cameras

The camera systems on the 2021 IPhone 13 pro got a an upgrade as well with 3 unique cameras. All cameras are 12 megapixels. The telephoto lens features a 77mm focal length 3x optical zoom And 2.8 aperture. Then there’s 1.8 aperture Ultrawide lens and Wide camera with 100% Focus Pixels and 1.5 aperture. These new and improved cameras capture more light and take stunning HDR pictures. Of course, the 3 cameras are for those who want to take the best kind of photos on a smartphone.

Now you can take incredible close up photos of flowers, insects, and small tiny things with their Macro feature. But if you used to take photography class in college, and don’t like caring around a natural camera then the iPhone 13 Pro is a perfect on the go photo tool you can grab out of your pocket to take incredible shots of nature or your family.

Cinematic mode with HDR 4 & ProRes Video

New video upgrades like cinematic mode, a process of focusing on a subject‘s face while blurring anyone or background, is for those serious about using their phone as a full camera. The tech produces stunning ProRes videos without needing to use editing software like FinalCut Pro to render your videos. which helps the editing process extremely easily.

Apple initially had AI machine learning algorithms to study cinematography of a few thousand movies and predicted through AI protocols when cinematic scene of subjects should be sharpened or blurred from the scene. They then processed that data to one of the birectional vectors through CPU and GPU interfaces into the LSM to give you a simple to use mode that does the blurring of subjects and objects, for you.

The impression I often recieve when using Apple’s default photo app is the simplicity of editing the photo with the various filters. With High Dynamic Range 4 and machine learning ,each video you produce and photo you take will be arrange through a faster AI system to sharpen and create brighter and richer colors for your footage, resulting in crisper, cleaner and more professional looking images and video.

Thanks to ProMotion and that smooth refresh rate of 120, videos shot in new HDR 4 format will look more fluid in motion. Video quality is surprisingly impressive and will certainly not disappoint even the most seasoned iPhone user.

A15 is zipperdy

The 2021 iPhone 13 Pro features the a 15 bionic chip which is now considered one of the fastest in the industry. The graphics for intense videogaming will look excellent, videos will flow effortlessly and images are breath taking because of the 5 core GPU.

The neurol engine pushes 15. 8 operations per second which means photos will be processed faster and machine learning will enable your phone to pick up on every single habit to learn what apps, words and things you do on your device the most to truly personalize the user experience. Simply put, it’s basically like having a pocket computer. In fact the A15 Bionic chip makes the iPhone 13 pro more powerful than the super computers from the 70s. Each year, Apple improves the performance of their silicon chips on most devices including the iPhone. This is no different. If you’re someone who wants a premium high end phone with insane GPU performance and CPU upgrades that makes everything you do on your phone superior, then the iPhone 13 Pro will definitely be worth it.

Why you’ll love iPhone 13 Pro?

In this new modern era we’re at the peak of smart phone mania, you’re either an iPhone Apple person or an android user. I used to be among those who use the Google/android ecosystem on a cheap $49 straight talk phone from Walmart.

I remember never owning an iPhone but have used it demonstrational retail version at local wireless carriers throughout the years. In fact if you asked what smartphone I owned back in 2010, the answer would’ve been one of the very first Samsung Galaxy. Don’t get me wrong, for the time it was out there technology was obviously superior featuring OLED technology versus the LCD panel the iPhone 4 at the time featured. But once iPhone started upping their game with iPhone 10 and up, that’s when I truly started picking my ear for this device. One of my first iPhones was an iPhone 6s, which would now be equivalent to the flagship budget iPhone SE that’s available currently at the time of this article.

I could be biased but there’s no comparison. Android makes great phones too. But what makes the iPhone special is the integration between the teams who develop the device. From the operating system, to the interior and processors, the firmware and the camera systems that Apple’s team integrates onto the device. Things just seamlessly work together. My problem with android was it could be on a decent device like a Samsung galaxy series but the OS system might not be as responsive or cohesive with the hardware. Apple‘s in-house team on the other hand, works together with the same people who develop their OS system in hardware department to ensure seamless intergration not found on Android. That’s the big reason why I believe most folks enjoy Apple products like their iPhones and other devices.
