It's international internet day soon , and what better way to celebrate than by taking a moment to reflect on the entitled millennials who took over the internet long time ago ? They aced it and now they are aging out of it . Ah The ache of leaving the crown!

You know our type always looking for extrensic validation-always sharing photos of our avocado toast and overpriced coffees, proclaiming ourselves to be "woke" and superior to anyone who doesn't share their views. We love to virtue signal by sharing articles about social justice issues, but we are also quick to shame anyone who doesn't agree with us. And God forbid you say anything that might offend us - we’ll be sure to let you know just how much you've hurt our delicate feelings.

As the first generation to grow up ,to come of age with the internet, we generation millennials have a lot to give back to the internet. The internet gave us a nitro boost and separated us vastely from the generation of x, our parents. To account a personal story ,I had a better connected life than my parents ever thought possible. From haircuts to heartbreaks, the internet was my everything. Internet made me a rebel and I made internet my God . Well this happened way before I watched American Gods .This new God heard my requests and granted me wishes.

So I wanted to make sure I am giving back on International Internet day which is on 29th October. How did the internet make my life better? I can not exaggerate more.

First and foremost, the internet gave me a voice. Our previous generation was too silent, too secretive . For too long, our opinions were left unheard because we didn't have a platform to share them on. Forget platforms ,there were deaf ears around us. But with the advent of social media, suddenly we had a way to broadcast our thoughts and feelings to the world. We could connect with like-minded people from all corners of the globe and form relationships that would never have been possible otherwise.Without internet there was no end to folklores and stagnant thought process. With internet we slowly paved our way out of genders, diversity and other social challenges.

Secondly, the internet made information more accessible than it ever has been before. No longer do we have to rely on secondhand sources or inaccurate news reports; we can go straight to the source and get the information that we need without any filter. This is an invaluable tool in today’s day and age, where everyone is trying to sell us something.Internet brought us brands and fashion.

Finally, the internet helped us connect with our peers in ways that were never possible before. No longer are we limited by geographical boundaries; we can connect with anyone, anywhere, at any time. This has led to stronger relationships and a sense of community that was previously lacking in our lives.

Dear World Wide Web

The nostalgia brought upon us this day is that we are soon aging out of the internet as the first generation. The ticktockers , video bloggers are taking over and they are making fun of our “pauses” . But at the end of the day, we shouldn't let these people get us down. Every generation has their own mannerisms and ticks. We lived ours and now its to stop pretending to be under 25 years to beat gen z . Following mannerisms of a very young generation is very cringe worthy in its own and is really not required . We can age gracefully out of the internet without becoming laughing stock.

4 Ways to Ace International Internet Day as a Millennial:(in lists as an entitled -most educated generation also know as millennial )

1. Share your story of how the internet has positively impacted your life

2. Connect with other like-minded individuals of your generation

3. Use your voice and platform to promote causes you are passionate about

4. Refrain from mimicking or hating ticktok generation or their baggy jeans online or offline

By sharing our real stories, not twisted or enhanced for gen z ,we can remind each other of how far we have come because of the internet. We should keep proving that we are empowered more than entitled. We are internally motivated and just not only rely on outside validations from our social peers. We should also empower those who have not had access to the same privileges we have by connecting with them and offering our support. Furthermore, we can use our platforms to speak up for those who cannot fight for themselves. The world is at our fingertips, let’s show it what we are made of on International Internet Day!

The gift of the internet is one that keeps on giving, and we millennials should be grateful for all that it has done for us. It has given us a voice, increased access to information, and helped us connect with our peers in ways that were previously impossible. For these reasons and more, the internet was truly a gift to millennials everywhere. With all due respect we make place for you ,gen Z . Take over our world. With your crypto’s burning all the extra fuel how will you fight climate change buddy !Fading evil laugh haha haha .
