JavaScript is one of the most popular programming languages of all time. In the current era, developers prefer JavaScript to any other programming language.

The use of JavaScript in the field of Web development is intense not only that JavaScript is the number one programming language used in 2021 among the top 10 programming languages of 2021.

But can the popularity and power of JavaScript come to an end due to the creation of a new programming language?

PyScript is here finally

Recently, the CEO of Anaconda Peter Wang announced the all-new PyScript in PyCon 2022.

PyScript is like a JavaScript framework that will enable developers to create Python applications in their browsers.

This means Python code can directly be added in HTML just like JavaScript which is a piece of very amazing news for all Python lovers.

Python is one of the most popular languages and is among the most loved programming language by developers. It also holds a very strong position in the top 10 programming languages used in 2021.

With the announcement PyScript, it is expected that developers will use it heavily.

Peter Wang mentioned “a technology for interleaving Python in HTML” roughly translates to a technology that can be used to run Python code in HTML and also call JavaScript libraries in PyScript.

Web development can now totally be done in Python which is pretty revolutionary as Python itself was proved to be a revolutionary language.

Pyscript

With the announcement of PyScript, the power of Python can be used by a larger audience and creators also mentioned that everybody has access to a browser hence everyone can use this new technology to build awesome applications.

It was also mentioned that PyScript is built on Pyodide which can be referred to as a port to Web assembly. Currently, Pyscript supports writing Python code in the browser and will extend it to all programming languages in the future.

Is this the clear end of JavaScript?

PyScript is a very promising new technology and its creator has promised tons of things to its users. It has also promised to support all programming languages in the future and if this happens then the majority of developers will prefer PyScript over JavaScript.

The shift to Python by developers after its launch was revolutionary and the same can be observed with PyScript.

Only time will unfold the true potential of Pyscript and its future updates will show the true power of PyScript in web development.

We never know what future holds for PyScript will it be successful in replacing JavaScript completely or It would remain being an extension of JavaScript just like any other extension created to compete against JavaScript.

But it is clear that PyScript is very powerful technology which will turn lots of heads

Owners of PyScript have promised to support addition of different programming language in HTML with the help of PyScript itself and it is completely revolutionary.

If you are expert in C++ and you want to add your application into HTML then PyScript can be a good option for you once they release the update. This could be a very good turning point for developers to accept PyScript and stop thinking much about JavaScript.

Even people were unable to guess the true power of Python at its launch and now we can observe that Python has created its own place in developer community. Same can be said about PyScript.

I hope this is informational. Best of luck in your programming journey!
