It is interesting to read that many colleges and universities have decided to switch from teaching on campus to a distance learning model. Faculties on campus are not necessarily the best teachers, but what is striking is that these faculties must use technology to conform to their respective institutions "decision to use it as a form of social distancing to improve teaching. The most likely outcome is that colleges and universities will be vigilant in helping teachers learn how to use teaching technology and the tools available to help students succeed in their courses.

It is also important that institutions encourage students to share their feedback and learning experiences with their faculty in order to shape the way they use technology. A deeper integration of learning as opposed to teaching with technology is emerging. Technological developments are helping to improve the working environment and lifestyle of people in the workplace.

Supporting technologies enable people to lead healthy, productive, independent and dignified lives and participate in education, labour market and civic life. They reduce the need for formal health services and long-term care for carers. Investment in technology leads to employee motivation, higher productivity, and growth, and companies take the lead in adopting technology.

Assistive technologies can have a positive effect on the health and well-being of a person and their family and also have wider socio-economic benefits. Assistive technologies enable older people to continue living at home and delay or prevent need for long-term care. Therapeutic footwear for diabetes can reduce the incidence of foot ulcers and prevent lower limb amputations and associated burden on health systems [3].

All over the world there are many people who need assistive technologies but do not have access to them. In fact, most people use a variety of cloud computing services without even realizing it.

Gmail, Google Drive, TurboTax, Facebook and Instagram are all cloud-based applications. With a variety of cloud computing services, users can send their personal data to a cloud server and store it for later access.

The new normality regarding the role of digital technologies in individuals "private and professional lives heralds learning how to navigate the emerging metaverse. The way people used to think about technology is advancing along a continuum between the real and the virtual. We see less of the world IRL (in real life) and more of interfaces and screen remoteness to protect us from the deadly virus that has isolated us.

When one thinks of people's relationship with technology, one often thinks of a group of people who have unimpeded access to it. If we limit this view to this group, the New Normal will improve the way in which we live today, in which economics, education, human relations, and politics are conveyed. By 2025, the new normal will imply a society divided by who has access and who does not.

The 21st century is only 18 years old, and we are already experiencing a revolutionary technological surge. From our food to our education, digitisation does everything in its power. People are so used to technology that it is hard to imagine life without a smartphone or even a laptop.

We are so busy with our daily lives that we seldom take a moment to press the pause button and take a step back and think. We have accepted that it is the use of technology that makes it harmful to exceed the level of comfort in our lives with technology.

One of the main goals of technology is to make things cheaper and more affordable for people. On the surface, this sounds like a classic opportunity for disruptive innovation to take root.
