The Eagles finished the season with a 14-2 record, led by the incredible play of Jalen Hurts and a dynamic rushing attack. Hurts' performance this year has been nothing short of amazing. He led the league in passing yards (4,947), completion percentage (73.1%) and was second in touchdown passes (54).

The Chiefs had an up-and-down season, finishing third in the league in scoring offence but dead last in scoring defence at 31.5 points per game. But they've been hot as of late and it's paid off for them, as they've made it to the Super Bowl for the fourth time in five years.

The Eagles won their first Super Bowl title in franchise history last season, led by Carson Wentz's MVP performance and a lockdown defence that featured shutdown cornerbacks Darius Slay and Ronald Darby.

After beating Pittsburgh in Week 1, Kansas City is favoured to win this weekend's game against Cincinnati by six points. The over/under on total points is 60, according to the Westgate SuperBook.

The Chiefs have the No. 1 offence in points scored, yards per play and third-down percentage; the Eagles are second on each of those lists. Both teams' offenses were humming in the conference championship games, with Mahomes and Hurts putting up phenomenal numbers.

The two teams have only faced off four times, most recently in a 6-6 tie in the 2020 season opener. The Chiefs won last year's matchup 27-20, but they haven't won at Lincoln Financial Field since 2011.

For the Chiefs it will be exploiting their speed on defense against an Eagles offense that likes to go deep with Jalen Reagor and tight end Zach Ertz, while for the Eagles it will be slowing down Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill with their Cover-3 defense.

The Eagles have been outstanding on both sides of the ball this season, but they will be going up against a Chiefs offence that's been nearly unstoppable for two seasons now, going 15-2 in its past 17 regular season games.

The game will be held at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, which is currently home to Rams and Chargers, but this will be their first time hosting a Super Bowl.
