By itself, the Instagram app is awesome and powerful.

But do you know all the best apps to take your Instagram marketing to even greater heights?

With more than 1 billion monthly users, 500 million of which are on the app every day . Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms in the world, second only to Facebook when it comes to engagement.

Instagram marketing has come a long way from the early days, when users just took a photo in the app and added a filter. Now, there are entire apps dedicated to just photo editing! To help you sort through all the apps you need to make your business look amazing on social media, here are the best apps for marketing your business on Instagram!

1. LIGHTROOM

This is the first thing I use when completing a shoot. I carefully review all my photos on Lightroom, and test out different presets I have created and purchased. Lightroom is definitely the go-to app if you are editing pictures. I like to use the same preset on all of my photos so I end up having a cohesive feed where all of my photos look like they go together. The desktop version costs money, but you can use the app on your phone for free.

The Example Below is just with a preset added, no additional editing has been done.

2. PICSART

Beware can be addicting! This is possibly my new favorite app! The options are endless to add details to your photos.PicsArt is a great tool for creating collages, adding special effects and text to images, and more.

3. PLANOLY

I have been using this app for years!!!! It helps me plan out my entire feed for the next week or so. You can see the pictures that you have already posted plus it gives you free spaces to add photos to plan. You can use the grid to switch around and plan what photo that goes next. This really helps to create a cohesive feed!

4. CANVA

If you haven’t come across Canva yet, it’s absolutely a tool to investigate if you love beautiful Instagram images. Choose their ‘social graphic 800 x 800px’ template for the perfect Instagram image size and upload your own photo to the editor with a click.

Once uploaded, you can add wording, filters and more to perfect your image. We love the funky fonts and word layouts, which are perfect for creating those shareable quotes and inspirational memes for your followers to enjoy. The software is free online, and although you do have to pay for some of the images and fonts, there’s plenty to do without paying a penny.

5. PIXALOOP

Pixaloop brings life to images, creating moving pictures and cinemagraphs that will wow anyone from your friends to your followers – best of all, it’s a free photo animation app.

6. WERBLE

Werble is a fresh creative app that provides a new way for users to create cinemagraphs or “living photos” by artistically blending seamlessly looping animated content with their own photos. The process is designed to be fast and fun, and to produce good looking, viral and varied results with minimal time and effort. I added snow in only 30 seconds using Werble.
