Greetings,
esteemed lovers of psychology
We extend a warm welcome to this channel dedicated to presenting factual information. Are you currently enamoured with someone and hoping to catch their attention? It is important to note that attraction is not solely based on physical appearance. Factors such as personality, values, and interests can also contribute to attraction. If you are seeking advice on how to enhance your desirability, you have come to the right place. In this video, we will discuss seven subconscious factors that can make you more attractive to others. Firstly, wearing sunglasses has been found to be a contributing factor. Vanessa Brown, a lecturer at Nottingham Trent University, has conducted research on the appeal of sunglasses. Brown posits that sunglasses can enhance facial symmetry by concealing any asymmetrical features around the eyes.
Sunglasses have the ability to conceal the eyes, thereby creating an air of mystery, similar to that of Gojo Satoru. Brown expounded to "The Cut" that "the eyes are a significant source of information and vulnerability for human beings." Secondly, possessing androgynous attributes has been found to enhance one's attractiveness, according to a 1983 study by Dr. Linda A. Jackson of Michigan State University. The study revealed that androgynous individuals were perceived favourably in terms of gender-linked dimensions of instrumentality and expressivity, as well as sex-neutral desirable traits. They were also deemed better adjusted, more likeable, and had an advantage in the occupational domain compared to their masculine and feminine counterparts. Thirdly, exhibiting kindness towards others is always commendable. A study conducted in China suggests that it may also enhance one's physical attractiveness. The study involved three groups of subjects who were shown pictures of people's faces and asked to rate their attractiveness. One group was provided with positive personality information, while the others were given negative information or none at all. The group that received positive personality information rated the faces as more attractive than the other groups.
The study concludes that positive personality traits can enhance perceptions of facial attractiveness, and that this halo effect on facial attractiveness has been established. Therefore, while kindness should be practised for its own sake, it is also a pleasant bonus to know that it may have more benefits than we realise. It not only makes others feel good, but it can also make us feel healthier and happier, and even more physically attractive. Finally, owning a pet may also contribute to one's attractiveness. In 2008, two French social psychologists conducted an experiment to investigate this claim.
portraits were reclassified by head pitch, the more downward tilted portrait was preferred in 64 to 73% of cases. The study also found that downward tilted portraits were rated as more behaviorally alluring than less downward tilted ones.
Finally, a 2014 research study found that individuals who could compose and play complex music were perceived as more attractive by women. The lead researcher at the University College Dublin suggested that the ability to create complex music could indicate advanced cognitive abilities, and women may select musicians capable of creating more complex music as sexual partners, potentially providing genetic benefits for offspring. Therefore, enrolling in a music class, such as band or orchestra, may not only introduce individuals to the power of music but also enhance their attractiveness while performing complex pieces.
