Passionfroot Raises $15M Series A to Bring Its B2B Creator Marketplace to the US
Passionfroot, a German startup building a marketplace that connects B2B creators with brands

Passionfroot, a German startup building a marketplace that connects B2B creators with brands, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round led by Insight Partners.
The Berlin-based company's latest funding round comes at a pivotal moment when B2B marketing is undergoing a significant transformation, driven in large part by the rise of artificial intelligence and the increasing consumerization of how businesses go to market.
The AI-Driven Shift in B2B Marketing
Rebecca Liu-Doyle, managing director at Insight Partners, explained why Passionfroot is well-positioned for success in the current landscape. As AI companies flood the market with new products, they are increasingly turning to creators for visibility and education.
"Passionfroot has the perfect dynamics on both sides to warrant a true marketplace for B2B creators," Liu-Doyle told TechCrunch. "On the demand side, there is increasing consumerization of the way B2B brands go to market. That's a product of, in part, AI technology requiring evangelism, narrative building, and education. On the supply side, there are people who have real expertise, understand a market deeply, and want to create quality content."
This dual-sided dynamic has created a fertile environment for Passionfroot's marketplace model, which bridges the gap between expert creators and brands seeking authentic, knowledgeable voices to promote their products.
Expanding to the US and Beyond
With the fresh capital, Passionfroot is embarking on an ambitious expansion strategy. Co-founder and CEO Jen Phan is relocating to New York, where the company is opening a new office to spearhead its U.S. operations. Additionally, Passionfroot is establishing a presence in São Paulo, Brazil, signaling its intent to capture opportunities in Latin America.
The company currently employs 15 people and plans to grow its headcount as it scales its operations across these new markets.
Impressive Growth Trajectory
Passionfroot's momentum is evident in its financial performance. Phan revealed that over the last year, the company increased its revenue by an impressive 13 times. It has onboarded a roster of notable clients, including ElevenLabs, Figma, Replit, Framer, and Gamma, demonstrating its appeal to major players in the tech ecosystem.
Since its last fundraise in 2024, the company has released an AI agent called Zest, which helps brands create, execute, and monitor the performance of campaigns. Passionfroot claims Zest can also help companies find suitable creators both inside and outside the platform that align with their marketing strategy.
Technology and Marketplace Infrastructure
Central to Passionfroot's platform is a proprietary creator graph based on data about reach and performance gathered from thousands of campaigns. This data-driven approach enables more precise matching between brands and creators, ensuring campaigns are effective and well-targeted.
The platform also features a wallet system that companies can use to pay creators across the globe, streamlining international transactions and simplifying expenditure tracking. Passionfroot claims it has paid at least $10 million to creators on its platform over the last 18 months, a testament to its growing scale and the value it delivers to the creator economy.
Future Plans: AI Citations and Creator Tools
Looking ahead, Passionfroot is working on helping its clients measure how campaigns impact AI citations and how their brand appears in AI-powered answers—a forward-thinking feature that addresses the growing importance of AI in information discovery.
The startup is also planning to build AI features for creators, including monetization tips and content ideas, further solidifying its commitment to supporting the supply side of its marketplace.
The Competitive Landscape
Passionfroot's funding comes as other creator platforms are also moving to help creators find better monetization opportunities. Beehiiv recently launched a new community and ad marketplace, while Substack has introduced subscriber-only perks within newsletters. This competitive environment underscores the growing importance of the creator economy and the race to build the most comprehensive platforms for creators and brands alike.
Investor Confidence
Passionfroot's Series A round also saw participation from existing investors Creandum, Supernode Global, and s16vc. With this latest funding, the company has raised more than $21 million to date, reflecting strong investor confidence in its vision and execution.
As AI continues to commoditize software and flood categories with new products, the need for authentic, expert-driven marketing has never been greater. Passionfroot is capitalizing on this trend by building a robust marketplace that connects B2B creators with brands seeking visibility in an increasingly noisy digital landscape.
With a fresh $15 million in funding, a growing client roster, and ambitious expansion plans in the US and Brazil, Passionfroot is poised to become a dominant force in the B2B creator economy. As Phan noted, B2B buyers are increasingly turning to channels like LinkedIn, Substack, and YouTube podcasts to discover new products, and Passionfroot is building the infrastructure to make those connections seamless and effective.
