Steps to fix the Kindle Not Connecting To Wifi:

Power cycle the device:

In order to power cycle, the device first holds the power button until you see that the dialog box on the screen is going to go blank. After that, you need to continue holding the power button for approximately 30 seconds and then release the button.

After that leave, the device idle for about a few minutes. Press and hold the power button in order to power on the device. Then try to connect the Wi-Fi network to see if the issue has been resolved or not.

When you restart your kindle device, there are some issues that are going to slow the device and you might see poor connectivity as well.

Check the issues in your home network:

The first thing that you need to try for checking the home network is through connecting the smartphone or any other device with the W-F network. If you see that other devices in your home are able to connect to other devices, then you need to skip these steps.

If you find out that the connectivity issue is occurring on other devices as well, then you need to restart the home network as well.

In order to restart the home network, the first thing that you need to do is to power off the modem as well as the Wi-Fi router too. Then disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet. After that leave the device idle for a few minutes.

Then reconnect the power cord and then turn back it on. Then wait till all the LED indicators on the router will stop blinking. Now try to connect your kindle in order to see if the issue is resolved or not.

If you see that the issue is still there, then check if the airplane mode is switched on or not. Your device is going to disable all the connectivity options whether airplane mode is on. Then try disabling the Airplane mode and then check again. If you see that Kindle won't connect to wifi anymore, then follow the next step.

Connect the internet with a 2.4 GHz band:

Have you tried connecting the Kindle with the 2.4 GHz band internet? Well, this might help in resolving the issue. In order to do this, you need to open the router admin dashboard. Then from there disable the 5Ghz channel and reboot the router.

Connect the Kindle to the 2.4 GHz network. Once you see that it has been connected, then enable the 5 GHz band again but do not restart the router this time. If you see that this is working, then your kindle is facing an issue in connecting to a 5Ghz band.

Change the authentication type of your router:

The first thing that you have to do is to open the dashboard of the router Admin. Then refer to the owner’s manual in order to find the authentication type setting. Then change the authentication type from WPA2-PSK to WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK.

Save the changes and then exit the dashboard. Then try to connect the kindle again and see if you have been successful in resolving the issue or not.

You also need to check whether your device is not blocked. The routers will allow the users to block the devices from the Wi-Fi gateway. Make sure that you have not accidentally blocked your kindle device.

After that unblock the device in order to make the Wi-Fi connection again.
