How was Life Before TV and Other Digital Products?

Digital gadgets

Smartphones converged the functions of several tools, including radio and television. However, I think that the technology is too new to make a fair judgement on whether it has impacted society more than radio or television. One might even say that it is still debatable whether radio or television had the greater long-term impact on society. People on the radio camp would say that most of the types of entertainment now associated with television, such as sports, live concert performances, dramas, soap operas, and game shows, were originally broadcast on the radio. They might even cite that broadcast coverage of World War II was almost exclusively via radio (television broadcasting had started in a few countries before the war, but most stations were off the air during the war). People on the television camp might say that television brought about an increased awareness in the way that things look and that it created a new platform for old material that originally had been developed for movie theatres (this would include things such as old films, Three Stooges shorts, and Tom & Jerry cartoons.

How was life before Tv and other digital products?

My grandparents told me about the golden era with no TV or any digital gadget. Like everything which has pros and cons, this invention of tv and other digital products has changed the way of thinking of people living in the digital world. Albert Einstein had rightly said: “I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interactions, the world will have a generation of idiots.” My grandparents used to talk about different sports and plays when there was no TV. The only entertainment they had was a ‘Radio station’ which was the only source of entertainment out there. People used to value others, unlike today. Today we have the modern infrastructure but robots instead of humans probably in the near future.

How do Some indications of living even from gadgets affect our bodies?

Some indications living inside the field of electricity generated by high voltage power lines might eventually cause some damage. Short-term exposure to high voltage lines will not. My husband is an electrical engineer and he is generally NOT worried about the fields or radiation from normal household appliances. He DOES test our microwave for radiation leakage stuff that has been proven to cause cataracts. The one thing that he is carried about is the radio waves put out by cell phones when they are sending and receiving calls. He won’t hold one near his head to talk to someone, he insists on using earbuds, Bluetooth, or the phone speaker held away from his head. Conversely, the radiation from cell phones when they are playing movies, running games, or using wifi, is not strong and is not dangerous.

Impact of TV and social media on our day-to-day life.

The impact is really bad somewhere it's good or somewhere it's bad, I don't know about others but I can share my experience of using social media and watching TV serials too much, I've been using social media for the last couple of months but I found now I'm going crazy getting lazy even I don't want to go out and play games which I like most.

TrueGether, one of the best alternatives to eBay, provides a wide range of cell phones and other gadgets, which can be productively used to our own advantage. Do mind checking it out once because although it's easy to be impacted by these digital gadgets, one cannot deny the fact that these gadgets have provided utmost convenience and have made life easier and more efficient especially in the era of the pandemic today!
