How to change the Wi-fi password of a Linksys range extender?
The Wi-fi password of a range extender is utilized to allow authorized users to access the myrouter.local network. No user can access the network without typing a correct Wi-fi password in the provided field. While accessing the range extender for the first time, you need to type in the default Wireless credential on the provided field. - Enter “admin” as the default usernames and the password you assigned during the setup process.
- If you haven’t changed the default login password, type “admin” in the password field.
- Both the credential login fields are case-sensitive.
- Click login and the myrouter.local page appears on the screen.
- Now you can access and configure any feature within the Linksys range extender from the main web menu Dashboard.
Note: If a user is attempting a login process for the first time, he has to type default login credentials in the provided fields. You can find the default login credentials on the Quick setup guide and can also find them over the Internet. Once you successfully log in to the range extender you can configure various features and settings within the device.
