How to replace the iPhone SE Display

Today we offer you the replacement of the display of an iPhone SE that one of our customers lost their hands in a moment of distraction and which caused the device to crush a corner of the body and the consequent breakage of the glass .

As you can see from the photo below, the folding of the body is evident and we add that it is typical of the iPhone 5, 5s and SE models that suffer more or less strong blows.

Let's now see how one of our technicians intervenes following our classic routine tests that have not shown any other damage to the device:

Step 1

Once the screws that fix the display to the body have been removed, the technician inserts a tool (similar to a blade) between the screen and the body which helps him in extracting the display itself.

At this point he will extract the 4 fixing screws of the metal plate (used to block the display and various flex connectors).

Step 2

The technician, with a plastic tool, disconnects the various connectors to be able to work easily on the entire display block and on the body separately, without running the risk of damaging the electronic components of the motherboard.

Step 3

At this point the operator turns his attention to the body and thanks to the help of a clamp with dedicated templates, he reshapes the corner crushed by the impact , bringing it back to the conditions prior to the impact.

This operation, not taken for granted, is a practice for our technicians and allows you to recover even those devices that are not directly accepted in Apple for display replacement; in fact, in the various Apple Stores, if they find a folding of the body, they offer the customer to change the entire device for a decidedly higher sum than just the screen change.

Step 4

At this point we move on to the display.

As you can see from the photo on the side, from the old display we will have to extract and bring back to the new one a series of elements such as:

• Circuit home button / fingerprint reader
• earpiece
• Sensor / camera / microphone circuit
• Various plates and screws.Once the screws and plates have been disassembled, the technician, with the help of hot air and plastic extractors, gently unsticks the flexes of the circuits listed above and then returns them to the new display block.

Step 5

Once all the parts are reassembled on the display, the technician proceeds with the closure of the device and with all the tests, also carried out at the beginning of the intervention:

• Touch screen
• Proximity / brightness sensors
• Cameras
• Vibration motor
• Charging connector
• Wifi
• 3G-4G
• Speaker
• Ringtone
• GPS

Again tests passed without problems.

The customer was called to pick up his device, completely satisfied - in fact he went from his broken iPhone SE to like new in just 45 minutes !!
