Press the Microphone Button:

The Amazon Echo offers a physical microphone button to turn the mic on and off for Alexa. If you see that the button is already pressed, then that means that the Mic is off and this is probably the reason Alexa is not responding to your commands.

In order to confirm this scenario, there must be a red light on the echo indicating that the Mic is turned off. If you see that this is the case, then press the physical mic button on Alexa Setup which will turn the Mic on.

Restart the Alexa:
