Fix 1# Try Adding The Attachment Field In Datasheet View

• Open your Access table in the datasheet view and tap the first blank column. To easily fetch the first blank column just search for the word “Add New Field” in header column.

• Tap the datasheet tab and after then go to the Data Type & Formatting option. Now hit the arrow key appearing next to data type. Now tap the attachment option.

• Access database will set attachment data type for field and also put a paper clip icon mark on the field’s header row.

• Well you are not allowed to insert text within the text in attachment field’s header row.

• Now save all the changes you have done.

Remember:

You are not allowed to convert new field to some other data type. But if any error occurs you can delete the field.

Fix 2# Open Attached Files From The Table

• Open the Access database table in datasheet view and make a double tap on the cell which is used for attachment field.

• From the Attachments dialog box, make a double-tap over Access file which you want to open.

Program that is associated with the file will start and very soon it gets open the attached file. For example you have attached one Excel file then it gets open in the Excel application.

There are some images available which won’t get open in Microsoft Windows Picture.

To do something more, you can make a right click on the image after hitting the Edit option. this will open the program that is mainly used for file creation if that program is already installed in your PC.
