Intro

If you want your business to be taken seriously in the modern era, you must create a professional, appealing website. Fortunately, services like WordPress make it possible to create and customize a business website in a matter of minutes.

To use WordPress, you'll need a dependable hosting provider to keep your site from crashing or being hacked.

Bluehost is one of the most well-known web hosting companies, and we're here to examine their offerings. We'll go over the pros and cons, pricing and features, customer reviews, and other factors to help you decide if they're the best fit for you. Enjoy!

Bluehost's Advantages and Disadvantages

Advantages of bluehost

  • Bluehost has some of the most affordable and flexible web hosting plans available, with monthly rates ranging from $4 to $50 depending on your needs.
  • They've hosted nearly 2 million websites since their inception in 1996, so yours would be in very capable hands.
  • They're one of the few hosting companies that offers WordPress-specific packages.
  • They provide a 30-day money-back guarantee, so trying out their services is risk-free!
  • In addition to a comprehensive help center, they provide live chat and phone support 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you have a problem at any time of day or night, a customer service representative will be there to assist you.

Disadvantages of bluehost

  • While some web hosting companies provide free migration services, Bluehost charges $99 for this service.
  • Some users have reported that their websites have been hacked. Having said that, we used Bluehost for two years and never had any security issues.

Pricing and Benefits

Bluehost essentially provides two levels of WordPress hosting. In this Bluehost review, we'll go over their standard packages, but keep in mind that they also offer WordPress-optimized hosting.

Their standard offerings are divided into three packages: Basic, Plus, and Prime. Examine what each one includes:

Basic = $3.95 per month

For $3.95/month, you'll get unmetered bandwidth, free SSL certification, 5 email accounts, and 50 gigabytes of website space. Not bad for the cost of a decent cup of coffee!

When to Use: As the name implies, this is a basic no-frills hosting package. It may be completely adequate if you only require very basic hosting services. Having said that, we believe it's worthwhile to consider the Plus and Prime packages because they only cost an extra $2 per month to upgrade.

Plus = $5.95 per month

The Plus package provides significantly more flexibility, with unlimited websites, unmetered website space and bandwidth, and unlimited email accounts and email storage. You'll also receive over $24 in extra perks per year, though they don't specify what they are.

When to Use It: I'd recommend this package to established brands and businesses that want to upgrade and expand their WordPress site. It unquestionably outperforms the Basic package. However, the Prime package is currently listed at the same monthly rate as Plus, so if you're thinking about getting this package, you might as well upgrade once more for free.

Prime is $5.95 per month.

Prime includes their Domain Privacy and SiteBackup Pro features, as well as over $80 in extra perks and everything from the Plus package, for the same price as the Plus package.

When to Use: To be honest, I'd recommend this package to anyone willing to spend the extra $2 per month. It's only natural to want to get the most bang for your buck. If you intend to build a few websites and take online marketing seriously, this could be your best bet.

Package Suggestions

If you want to spend as little money as possible on web hosting, Bluehost's Basic package might be the best option for you.

However, as previously stated, their Prime package includes a slew of extra features for only $2 more per month. If any of the extra features sound appealing, I'd recommend going with Prime because it removes any limitations that may become a nuisance as your website grows.

Bluehost Customer Reviews

Bluehost has a lot of customer feedback, but it's a mixed bag. Even though they've been an industry titan for years, they're not immune to criticism. Examine their various rating breakdowns below:

  • 5.8/10, 33 reviews for HostAdvice.com
  • 2.4/5, 726 reviews on WebHostingGeeks
  • 3.5/5, 468 reviews for whoishostingthis.com
  • Thewebmaster.com: 5.7/10, based on 16 reviews
  • Digital.com has received 61 percent positive feedback, with 1,855 reviews.

As a result, they have a 60 percent satisfaction rating on average. It's not particularly hot. The most common complaint I've heard is that their customer service isn't as good as they claim. When they contacted the customer support team, many users felt they were getting the runaround.

Despite this, they continue to have a large number of satisfied customers – in fact, I am one of them! We recommend that you read through some of their customer feedback to get a sense of previous users' experiences and ultimately decide whether or not you see too much risk.
