Finding the Best High Yield Savings Account (HYSA)
See Affiliate Link Note and Disclaimer at end of article Introduction If you follow any financial website or Facebook group, there will be 1-4 posts a week on choosing a High Yield Savings Account (HYSA). The request is simple enough—"Which high yield savings account should I pick?"

Everlasting Imprints: The Experience That Lives On
More Than A Vacation Vacations are wonderful. It is a time to get away from the hustle and the daily stress and just relax with your family and friends. My family of eight just returned from Paradisus La Perla - Adults Only all-inclusive and I wouldn't change a thing. It was just what we all needed after my mother's passing a year ago. It was a time to bond, a time to reminisce on the good ole' days, and a time to relax and reflect.

Twitter's Permenant Ban
See Affiliate Link Note at end of article Introduction It has been twenty months since Twitter/X permanently banned my account, and I'm still disappointed by the decision. I send an appeal about every four months just to see if they will reconsider. I think I will need to send a written letter to Elon Musk (and Linda Yaccarino, X Corp's CEO) as there doesn't appear to be an escalation process. Is the permanent ban part of the former "Stay Woke" or "Psychological Safety" culture Elon Musk references in the book by Walter Isaacson, Elon Musk? It is a great book if you need something to read.

Social Security: Avoid falling for a false retirement plan
Quick Background I love discussing money and retirement planning with people in all walks of life (poor, rich, old, and young). I am probably a little too obsessed with it — it comes from a place of fear, yet gratitude. Growing up poor, my family and friends lacked financial literacy, and they definitely were not financially sharp.

A Different Graduation Gift
See Affiliate Link Note and Disclaimer at end of article Introduction For the last couple of years, I have changed my graduation gift strategy. Previously, I would provide the High School or College graduate with a generous check or gift cards they could enjoy. Now, I give them a smaller gift card, but also include something I believe will be more valuable to them in the long-term.

Goals... Not Resolutions.
See Affiliate Link note at end of article New Year's Resolutions I absolutely hate New Year's resolutions. I think it is because I have always failed them or lose interest after several months. My past resolutions held little meaning and were not really sticky. Like most people, I would give them up after the second or third month. Forbes Health did a survey and found that only 6 percent of people stick with their resolutions for over a year. Failing New Year's resolutions is so common that there are days known as "Ditch New Year's Resolutions Day" (January 17) and "Quitters Day" (second Friday in January) as unofficial dates (Davis, 2023).
