My Experience Attending a Texas Rangers Game at Globe Life Field
Two years ago, I wrote a story about what a Texas Rangers game was like at The Ballpark in Arlington. I'll have the link to that story in the link below, but the aforementioned story was my 250th I've written and published on Vocal. The Rangers now former home is now known as Choctaw Stadium.

Chasing Rainbows
If you’re forced, and how utterly terrible must it be if you’re forced to take only a 24 hour vacation, the only choice is to chase rainbows in Dublin, that lynchpin of the Emerald Isle with some of the cheapest flights from Chicago to Europe. As it’s been sung, you can go around the world, from Antarctica to Katmandu, and find an Irish pub—a place you’ll be welcomed with a kind smile and a cold pint. If you’re lucky, you might even get some fiddle, and if you’re really lucky they’ll be some black pudding (okay that one is personal taste).

One day in heaven
The above shot was taken on my birthday, treating myself to a Cornish cream tea in the most southerly café in England. Although I have been there for the last 30 years, at least once a year, I would always go back. When I drive down to the tiny carpark the deep blue water appears, with added rocks, birds and a few seals. I used to park at the main car park but health makes it difficult due to the steep paths.

Dollywood's Mine Horror
As someone who grew up constantly visiting Dollywood park while everyone else went to Disney and Universal, I saw all the rides coming in and out of the area for years. Love it there, but the one disappointment I have is the park not having a Halloween like Universal or Six Flags, only a fall festival. They are a place that doesn't advertise to only children like Disney, so I don't personally understand why they don't have haunted house attractions and set ups there.

A Birthday and Anniversary Getaway to Park City, Kentucky
Some trips surprise you in the best ways, and our recent four-day visit to Park City, Kentucky, was one of those trips. We went there to visit Mammoth Cave and explore the area, but we found so much more than we expected. We discovered a tiny town filled with history, amazing food, wonderful people, and a peaceful atmosphere that made it the perfect place to slow down and enjoy our time away.

A Day Trip to Charlottesville — is it Worth it?
Just a few weeks ago, I headed with some family to Charlottesville, VA for a day. A Bit Of The Titanic In Alnwick
Introduction Fiona told me that the White Swan Hotel in Alnwick contained some artefacts from the RMS Olympic which was the sister ship to the Titanic. On checking It turns out that the main dining room (Olympic Restaurant) is effectively the First Class Lounge from the ship which is identical to the one on the Titanic.

The Statue of Zeus at Olympia Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) — “Family resemblance unclear, but strong presence.” Visited the Statue of Zeus at Olympia after receiving surprising DNA ancestry results suggesting a possible connection to Zeus through a half-mortal lineage about 94 generations ago. Apparently, I am related to Helen of Troy, Zeus' daughter via a swan incident and the woman who accidentally caused a war in her time and most recently - Elon Musk's wrath.

The Top 10 Tourist Traps In Denver
If you're traveling to Denver and search for Denver tourist traps, you'll likely come across a bunch of "must see" and "must avoid" articles. It's fun to plan a trip to a city you've never been to and it can be hard to decide on which things are worth setting aside the time to see. While the term "tourist trap" often signifies that a traveler should avoid it at all costs, that's not necessarily true for everyone. Just because something is a tourist trap doesn't mean it's not worth it at all.

Hanging Gardens of Babylon Review
**⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) — “Beautiful, but scientifically frustrating.”** Visited the Hanging Gardens of Babylon hoping to document and collect samples of rare and possibly extinct plant species. Left with admiration, confusion, and exactly three labeled specimens, two of which may just be weeds. One looks like cannabis and the other -- nettle, but I need to do some tests to be sure.
