The ClockTop Story - March 2024
############################################### The following are all fictional snippets of life's crucial moments caught by a time machine called a "clock." Whether we are controlled by time or we seek to control time, we are all subject to the meaning it conveys. Time reminds us there are forces at work beyond what we see. It is concretely set. As the adage says, it waits for no man. Time is a teacher. Time can be joyous or sad; the clock is very fickle and isn't at all prejudicial. It isn't fair, but then again, it really is...It's a vicious dictator and also a loving friend who reminds us to sleep, eat, and rise again for another day. The clock reminds us that we are spinning around constantly. In all of our spinning, we are chided to slow down, speed up, or stay in control. Until one day we cease to spin at all.

Memoir of a Nursing Career
The Road that led to Nursing I was the firstborn in my family, with siblings coming seven and ten years later. My parents married and divorced twice, drank and argued, etc…I came from the original dysfunctional family. As a child, I had no input in decision making, yet I was determined that my siblings should be shielded from some of the hurts and insanity that I had been exposed to. So early on, I became an advocate.

Untangle our Mess!
I woke early before daylight. This morning my head is full of prayers for my loved ones. I talk to God about each of them. I know my concerns are no surprise at all to Him, and that He is probably already actively working in our lives, weaving our lives into something that makes so much more sense from His point of view, which is so far above mine. (A beautiful full moon shines from out of the western sky with a huge golden circle around it to illuminate these thoughts in my heart.)

True LoveTop Story - February 2024
My best friend is not of this world. But he makes himself available to me at all times. He has heard all my stories, been with me through the good, bad, ugly, and has dried my tears. He has been my comfort when everyone else has left me.

New Baby Love
What is love? Even before a child is born, a mother begins to have a connection with someone she really doesn't know. Love begins in her mind, her imaginations, her hopes, her dreams. She forms a picture of what love will look like, who love will look like, how love will act towards her.

Hot Tea (yes)
My Personal Comfort List for the Winter Season-things to do-would include the following: ~Waking up later instead of sooner (When you are retired, you get this option. In fact, I believe you have earned it. Now, if I could just convince the fur population in my household of this!)

Divine or Divination
She knew better to have gone to that woman's place. She had been warned. But curiosity had compelled her. Now, all that she could think about is how terrible a choice it had been. So, now she would be living out the consequences of her foolishness. She was sure of that, by all that was right and holy. Even if it had been with the best of intentions.
