On the streets of London

they celebrated her one summer's day,

and reveling in her beauty and kindness

knowing the prestige she brought to the tarnishing crown,

they packed the mall

with their aqua-laden eyelashes,

her subjects crying out her goddess name

they threw flowers everywhere

expecting heirs,

she opened the island's heart-chakra,

finally, the Anglo-Saxons could emote,

by a sacrifice of her own youth,

there to challenge the cold colonialists,

the Queen of Hearts,

Lady Di

Yes, she was highly thought of and represented a turning point for the Royals in showing that stuffiness and detachment were not the way to win the hearts of your subjects, nor their respect. Our Royal family are now much more open and demonstrative as a result. The Queen may not have liked her much but I think she learned from her.
