enigmatic machinations warp and morph, scraps of
carrion meant to keep us oblivious to the truth
leaving our minds bamboozled by doubt and misdirection,
intentional subversion; those in power
pedaling and perpetuating
superstitious misogyny. until we rise up and remove the blinders, we've made ourselves an
endangered species.

"we've made ourselves an endangered species." These lines packed a punch! Loved your Acrostic!
It's like the proverbial carrot on the stick, when it turns out that even if there were two, You have to figure out which carrot we have put there for ourselves and which one was placed by another, yet the result is the same, to lead us astray.
‘Bamboozled’ Haven’t heard that word in a long time. Great use of it here! Best of luck, Heather!
Hi Heather You are a powerhouse of publishing! What a fantastic take on the Challenge. ‘intentional subversion; those in power pedaling and perpetuating’ How very true. I found this quite hard to do - Acrostic. Because i like to intertwine a narrative. I do have 2 poems. This is my long form one. At the end of the page is the short form Pauline 🌸 https://vocal.media/poets/ever-questioning
LOL...this is brilliant. I mean...carrion...got me hook line and sinker. You tell them, Hubler. Here's someone noone in power or to blame for this sorry state we are in will say "Mea Culpa" ;)
God damn. You did it again. Outstanding piece. Scream it from the hilltops and halls of parliament.
