'Twas the season of goblins, of witches and ghosts,
Of pumpkins and spiderwebs, what we love most.
I decorated the house for Halloween with glee,
But the internet whispered, "Christmas, come to me!"
*
In the midst of my spooky, eerie delight,
Mariah Carey sang, "You're in my sight!"
"All I Want for Christmas," she belted with cheer,
While I clung to my jack-o'-lantern, trembling with fear.
*
White Christmas by Bing Crosby, snow-covered and sweet,
Made me long for candy canes, under the tree so neat.
Wham's "Last Christmas," although my favourite tune,
Felt out of place beneath October's moon.
*
Oh, how I adore Christmas, it's true,
But can't we give Halloween its rightful due?
Monster Mash, though not quite as jolly and bright,
Deserves some love in these chilly October nights.
*
So, I ask with a grin, as I carve my pumpkin's face,
Why's Christmas in October, trying to win the race?
Let's savour each season, in its own perfect way,
Before Rudolph and Santa lead the holiday parade.

The poem is well-written and easy to read.
Lol, if that ain't what's always happening. Loved your poem!
Too real! Like I love Christmas, but I'd like to enjoy Halloween first and not see the Christmas decorations already hitting the shelves!
