Koruku Blood-RosePublished 6 years ago in GamersCelebrate Love with Your Favorite Video Game Romances
Ah, love. Even gamers can recognize the joys of finding that special someone. Heck, some of us even find that spark in our greatest online adversaries. In fact, it was the wise Solid Snake that one said: “I believe at any time, any place, people can fall in love with each other.”
Mark LoProtoPublished 6 years ago in GamersBest Video Game Catchphrases of All Time
Who can forget their most cherished memories from beloved games of old, like the catchphrase-filled Legend of Zelda and Pokémon, or even the likes of say Duke Nukem and Gears of War? Some of the greatest moments and saddest memories from video games involved the indoctrination of the greatest lines, most insightful sayings, and misunderstood translations. Whether you’ve played them or not, the following video games have not only outlived their releases and personified themselves within the pantheon of video game history, they’ve also proven to know just what to say and when best to say it.
George HermanPublished 6 years ago in GamersTop 10 Games of 2017
2017 has been an incredible year for video games. With both major triple A titles and indies showcasing just how far the medium can go, it was a great year to be a gamer. And, much like everybody else, I’d like to share which of those games are my favorites.
Mighty NiftyPublished 6 years ago in GamersFrom Azkaban to the Galaxy Far Away: 3 Video Game Ideas Just Begging to Happen
Video games have come a long way. What was once a simple way to pass the time has now become its own storytelling (and artistic) medium on par with books, television, and film. Something which is perfectly encapsulated in today's video game adaptions of famous properties. No longer are they a way to cash in on them, but rather a vessel to explore these beloved fictional universes in a manner books, tv and film simply can't.
Art-Peeter RoosvePublished 6 years ago in GamersChristmas Specials Worth... Playing?
Hello, and welcome back to Silver Linings where I put a spotlight on the maligned, forgotten, and ignored. Everyone that celebrates Christmas has at least half a dozen DVDs of Christmas specials that are watched every year. People have grown up watching Charlie Brown finding the true meaning of Christmas and the Grinch stealing presents. They've watched George Bailey realize what the world would be like if he wasn't born, in addition to tons of other stories. On top of that, I guarantee that, no matter where you live, at least half of the local radio stations are playing marathons of Christmas music, both traditional and not so traditional, that run from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day.
Adam WallacePublished 6 years ago in Gamers15 Ridiculous Rivalries That Prove Gamers Have No Life
Since the dawn of time, rivalries have existed and not only between good and evil. Sometimes a rivalry can be a trivial, unnecessary thing like the attention of a parent to siblings or coworkers vying for the opportunity to get a promotion to a much harder job for little compensation. Rivalries can also happen between whole corporations such as competing cola companies arguing over who is better, even though they have the exact same ingredients in different measurements.
Top Ten Curveball Games
Gambling isn’t something I condone, yet I’d be willing to put a fair amount of cash on the assumption that I wasn’t the only one who reacted with mild confusion when Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battles was announced. They took what’s probably the most popular video game franchise ever, crossed it over with gaming’s answer to the Minions, all wrapped up in XCOM-esque gameplay. Whoever thought of this deserves both a pat on the back and a serious questioning.

I don't know about you, but I'm ready for summer to be over already. Here in Arizona it's hot, dry, and I'm in the "eternally bored" segment of summer vacation. I've been spending a lot of my time indoors in the air conditioning playing video games. This got me to thinking, if I could go anywhere in the virtual world, where would I go? So without further ado, here are the Top 5 virtual locations I would rather be right now.
Tara FoulkrodPublished 6 years ago in GamersHow Do You Know When You Have Found Your Gaming Friends Forever?
I am sure you would agree that gaming is fun, exciting, and provides a reliable outlet for escapism. What really makes gaming so successful is the power it has to bring people together and create connections. In this time-poor era where friends and family alike are required to schedule hangout time almost months in advance, gaming has evolved to be an important social platform.
The Personal Method that I Use to Rate Games
Video games are, and always will be, the main source of entertainment in my life. They are the main expenditure of my income; my most preferable procrastination tool and the biggest bane of my productivity. In fact, I would much rather be playing a game right now, rather than writing this article on games, so I'll try and keep this article fairly short.
I Want to Be The Very Best: The Definitive Ranking of Pokémon Gyms
Love them or hate them, Pokémon gyms have been a primary component of the game franchise since it was introduced all those years ago with Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue. They've been the stepping stones for up-and-coming trainers across the world as they fight to become Pokémon masters.
