Fiction Shorts word of the day: Colour
It’s been twelve months since you rejected her and since that day she has lived in a world of black and white.
There are days that she awakens to the dark clouds that hover over her head, over her bed, over her entire view. Days of such despair that she fights the good fight — and doesn’t always win.
Other days, she finds the dark clouds dissipate but her world is bland, unexciting, dismal all the same.
Until she met another. One that reaches out to support her, protect her, fight for her — he who brings colour back into her days.
This drabble has been written as part of the daily Drabble Drop challenge and today's random word, that must be included in the drabble, is 'colour'.
Wikipedia defines a drabble as follows :
A drabble is a short work of fiction of precisely one hundred words in length. The purpose of the drabble is brevity, testing the author's ability to express interesting and meaningful idea in a confined space.

My Stupid Cat
I shouldn't of done it, but I was mad. Stupid cat. Here's what happened, ok: I caught her sleeping on the back of the sofa and I got an idea. I tiptoed round so so quiet. That's hard you know. And I lay down, real careful, so she wouldn't wake up. I shutted my eyes tight, and I tried to go to sleep. But it wouldn't and it wouldn't and it wouldn't.

Trauma Carnival
I have unpopular opinions on one of my old favorites, The L Word. First is: Jenny is my favorite character. Second: The show was originally about Jenny, her trauma, her broken identity and the way her sexuality was explored as an awakening that brought up many memories of childhood abuse.
