People without a scientific mind think of the spiritual world as a world associated with demons and gods. Demons and spirits can bless and harm people, and live in other dimensions interwoven with the world in which we live. When such people burn incense to worship their ancestors, it is because they think that their ancestors will bless them. This person's act of burning incense is considered an act of religious belief.
