A Bloody Business: The Novel I Created with My Friends
Part 1: Way back around this time last year, I wrote the āForewordā for what would become A Bloody Business. So preemptive was this move that I didnāt even have a name picked out for the book I had just opened. I didnāt even have three of the chapters written.

A Bloody Business: The Novel Vocal Inspired
I pride myself on being something of a realist when it comes to this platform. There are plenty of things to like about Vocal, but there are also flaws. Folks in the past have written about this site like itās a utopia; Iāve always maintained that itās more of a tool. Perhaps part of that healthy skepticism is because I have mixed thoughts on socialized writing like what we see on Vocal and other sites.

The Big 1,000Top Story - February 2024

And with all that brainpower expended, I find myself with the official $6.00 USD that was promised for every 1,000 reads that is what makes Vocal+ so exciting.

Valentineās Day Poem Mark 3.0
Author's Starting Note Fellow Vocal content creator Jaye Ruggiero-Cash recently shared a long-running piece "Single And Bitter On V-Day" discussing her consternation with the upcoming holiday that is Valentine's Day. I credit it with reminding me of my own way I used to push back on the holiday: through poetry.
