Mass Effect (2007) is Great Fun!
Mass Effect was a game that had been on my radar for a while and, back in the early days of the COVID-19 lockdowns, I managed to get the whole series at a steal - Steam games were on 70, 80, and sometimes 90% discounts at the time.

Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith
The Star Wars prequel trilogy was doing reasonably well...although there was some major criticism aimed at both the writing and performances. With that said, and I think I mentioned this a few times, I liked the first two films in the set (The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones).

Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones
The release of Episode I: the Phantom Menace in 1999 was met with a mixed reception. That mixed reception made George Lucas a bit leery about doing a sequel. With that said, there was still a significant demand for another adventure in a galaxy far, far away.

Knights of the Old Republic
To say that Star Wars is a juggernaut of a franchise would be an understatement of note. The first film, A New Hope, was released in 1977 and was an instant mega-hit with queues out the door and around the block to see what all the hype was about. At the time, sci-fi films weren't the grand spectacle they are today.

Crime Chronicles: The Man Who Killed Halloween
Halloween is an occasion that many people really enjoy. It's a night where the veil between the worlds is thinnest, and while it's more associated with horror and the macabre nowadays, it was long affiliated with remembering and honoring the dead. It's a night of fun and games as creepy decorations line the walls and fences of the neighborhood and eyes of the Jack 'o' Lantern's shine bright with eerie, orange light.

Crime Chronicles: Burke and Hare, the Resurrection Men
The year is 1828, and Edinburgh, Scotland, was the center of anatomical study. As a result, there was a high demand for cadavers for academic studies. Unfortunately, however, the supply of cadavers wasn't able to meet the increasing demand which led to a significant shortage of corpses - that sounds very weird, doesn't it?

6 Years a Vocalite: My Journey
I've reached a milestone here on Vocal, this is my 100th story! Now, I've seen a whole lot of different approaches to this particular story, but I wasn't sure how to approach mine. After some thinking, I thought I'd share a more personal story than what I typically write and answer a few of the common questions I get along the way.
