Dinosaurs Don't Inspire Me
I'm sorry, Vocal. I just couldn't do it. I couldn't get inspired to write a poem about dinosaurs. I just didn't have it in me. Maybe because I've always been a bit freaked out about them? And the fact that they never captured my imagination didn't help, either. Is that okay?

Gratitude Calendar (May)
This journaling is for the last week in May 2024. It is based on gratitude. But journaling wasn't my idea. Belle posted a prompt and I decided to do it, but then she decided to take down her prompt...It was too late for me to turn away. But I still want to recognize her idea :)

The God Who Sees
I found this video at a time when I needed it the most. It touched me. It comforted me. I started my healing process because of the four stories told in this beautiful you tube video. They gave me the faith to go on. If you've ever felt alone, confused, deeply wounded, or broken...then please take the time to listen to this before you read any further.

Did Rich & Janie Make It?
This is the "ending" of the unofficial challenge I brought to my faithful readers on Vocal. The quest was to "Pick the type of ending (from those in Cole's article) and answer the question of what happened to Rich and Janie...did they make it or not?

Even in the Wilderness
While waiting for a promised community “place” in Vocal to properly put a “devotional,” I decided to share my study with you. Have you ever felt like God has waited until the eleventh hour to answer a prayer? Do you feel “stuck” in a place or situation and don’t know what to do? If you have, maybe this might shed some light.

Ever So Often
Confession: I follow the app below because I have a love of "words." It's always a challenge to see an unfamiliar word and test your skills/insight as to what that word might actually mean. But, as you can tell, if and when you open this link, I picked the wrong definition. All, the same, the word, "lalochezia" intrigued me...especially when I discovered its true meaning. I giggled.

A Rose is Still a Rose
Curiously, these thoughts came to me after an afternoon nap, so I decided to jot them down. I'm hoping that the younger people in my family will appreciate the history and humor behind the process of how they each were named. It helps to have an "old person" like myself recall and commit to paper these memories before the stories are forever lost. I'm also hoping that this will spark a level of interest in my readers about their family names. I would bet there are many tales behind the names that were given to them, as well.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
This is a true story, but Daisy is the one telling it here. She was a comfort puppy to me, coming to me after my mother's death. She got me through some bad times with her wet kisses and smiles. She made me laugh with her antics and I will never stop being grateful for the love she gave to me. It is just now that I'm able to talk about her without, as my grandchildren say, "getting into my feels."
