The Planets
Mercury: Now that we have a solid understanding of the formation of the universe, the Milky Way, and the solar system, as well as a brief history of how humans have come to comprehend the solar system, we are ready to examine each object in the solar system in detail. We will be moving forward in time from the previous chapter, as significant advancements have been made in astronomy since Newton's era, but we will later revisit and discuss 20th-century discoveries and the current frontiers of the field and their implications. Let's start by looking at the planets one by one as astronomers currently perceive them. The eight planets can be grouped into two sets of four - the inner, terrestrial planets, which are small and rocky, and the outer, gaseous giants.

Star Systems and Types of Galaxies
When a high-mass star runs out of fuel in its core, the outer layers collapse inward rapidly, overcoming electron and neutron degeneracy pressure. This triggers a supernova explosion, leaving behind a single point containing most of the star's original mass - a black hole.

Introduction to Astronomy
Professor Dave here, and I want to discuss the universe with you. Of all the qualities that define us as human, our relentless pursuit of knowledge may be the most defining. We are never content with the unknown, always searching, always trying to make sense of our surroundings and our place within them. One of the most awe-inspiring aspects of the human experience has been the simple act of gazing up at the night sky. Today, we understand a great deal about stars, planets, and galaxies, yet the sight remains profoundly captivating. Imagine, however, looking up at that same night sky thousands of years ago, with no comprehension of what those distant points of light could be. What are these celestial objects? What is the universe as a whole, and just how vast is it? Is it truly infinite? Where did everything, including us, originate? These are the grandest questions that humanity has dared to ponder, and from this perplexity, this gnawing curiosity that arose each time the sun set, the first science, astronomy, was born.

The History of The Philippines Before Magellan (3000 BCE - 1521 CE)
On this article I'm going to share to you some interesting facts about Philippines. The Philippines is an archipelago situated in the Pacific Ocean, comprising over seven thousand islands. It lies on a subduction zone within the geologically active Ring of Fire, which extends from Japan to Alaska and California, making the islands mineral-rich but also prone to destructive earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Of the 7,000 islands, only around 1,000 are inhabited, most of them small, roughly one square mile in size. The archipelago is divided into three main island groups: Luzon in the north, the Visayas in the center, and Mindanao in the south. Luzon, home to the capital Manila, is the most populous.

Trisomy 21
What is Trisomy 21? Trisomy 21 is the most common chromosomal anomaly in humans, affecting about 5,000 babies born each year and more than 350,000 people in the United States. Also known as Down syndrome, trisomy 21 is a genetic condition caused by an extra chromosome. Most babies inherit 23 chromosomes from each parent, for a total of 46 chromosomes. Babies with Down syndrome however, end up with three chromosomes at position 21, instead of the usual pair. Trisomy 21 is the most common, occurring in 1 out of every 691 births. The disorder was first identified in 1866 by John Langdon Down, a British physician, and later named after him.
