What Went Wrong: Tommy Had a Candle--What's YOUR Excuse?!
Boy, did you guys blow it! Let's face facts, the New York Rangers had the easiest chance to reach the Stanley Cup Final. Their road to the Eastern Conference Final was easy, but could have been easier. They started 7-0 in this year's playoffs, similar to 1994 (we know what happened back then). Yet they lost Games Four and Five against the Carolina Hurricanes, and were actually on the verge of losing Game Six and causing "reverse sweep" talks to start. Thankfully, Chris Kreider decided to become superhuman in that third period.

Lethal Nightmare Fuel
For Sandra Hawthorne, she was supposed to be just mere days away from what would be the happiest day in her life. For three years, Sandra had been dating the love of her life, Anthony Farley, and it was after all that time that Anthony popped the question. The proverbial knot was set to be tied after a year of planning, but instead of enjoying wedded bliss, Sandra had spent the last three days in the hospital.

The Kansas City Chiefs: It's Always Something
Remember when I said that this team was a likable version of the New England Patriots dynasty? Yeah...about that. So to say that the Kansas City Chiefs have had an...interesting offseason would be an understatement. They say, "Heavy is the head that wears the crown," but come on. This is no excuse for the way some of their players have been acting. Though, this isn't the first time there's been drama with the Chiefs; we all remember Tyreek Hill's legal problems, which (I believe) led them to move on from him, and they've won back-to-back Super Bowls since then. However, in the time that's passed since the Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII, the drama is doing the same thing that Joe Burrow's done: own the Chiefs.

PWHL Finals Game Five: Her-story Achieved
It's been an amazing inaugural season of the Professional Women's Hockey League, and it came to a spectacular end on a Wednesday evening. Six teams fought for the honor of becoming the league's first-ever champions, and it came down to two teams: PWHL Boston and PWHL Minnesota. Game One went Boston's way, but Minnesota took Games Two and Three of the best-of-five Finals. Minnesota thought they had won the whole thing in double overtime of Game Four, but goalie interference prevented that. Boston would win just over a minute later, and as a result, the first-ever PWHL Finals came down to one final game.

PWHL Finals Game Four: Wild, Crazy, and Controversial
Oooooh, what a game! So the PWHL Finals had seen a lot in the first three games, but none of us expected what would go down in Game Four. Here's the stage. It's Game Four in Minnesota. The Minnesota team is up 2-1 in the best-of-five Finals. They have a chance to finish it; bring home a pro hockey championship to the State of Hockey in front of their home fans. The Walter Cup was in the building. Here's what went down.

Villainess Review: Ms. Valenti (Are You Afraid of the Dark?)
Who remembers Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Nickelodeon's hit horror anthology series? Horror/suspense anthology series have been a thing since the late 1950/early 1960s, and it got turned up in the 1980s and the 1990s with shows like Tales from the Darkside, Monsters, and Tales from the Crypt. It was in the 1990s that we received the kid-friendly versions, and that's where Are You Afraid of the Dark? came in.

PWHL Finals Game Three: One Win Away
The first-ever PWHL Finals switched scenes to the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, the exact home of the NHL's Minnesota Wild. Two games would be played at the arena, and that was guaranteed due to Minnesota's 3-0 win over Boston in Game Two of the Finals. The win evened things up at 1-1, turning the Finals into a best-of-three affair.

PWHL Finals Game Two: Dominance
The first ever PWHL Finals started with a back and forth Game One on Sunday, with Minnesota's team scoring first, but Boston's team ending up with the victory by a score of 4-3. Similar to the Semifinals, the Finals is played under a best-of-five format, and in those situations, losing Game One really puts a team's back against the wall. Game Two was Minnesota's chance to strike back in response to their Game One loss, or face having to win three straight the rest of the way. I say this even though Minnesota already pulled off one reverse sweep in the Semifinals.

Top 5 Lifetime Movies (and Potential Villainesses) That Desperately Need a Sequel
Earlier today, I went online to search for some upcoming movies for Tubi for the month of June, doing so upon realizing that it's late in this current month. The month of June had an impressive list of upcoming thrillers, but one listing I noticed totally caught my eye: Rock the Boat 2. We are getting a sequel to the Tubi Original that came out last year, which is excellent, because it definitely ended with a sequel tease.

2024 Conference Finals Preview
I've said this many times before; I always love the final round before the final round. The last stop before the grand finale. In the NFL, it's the Conference Championships. In MLB, it's the League Championship Series. Finally, in the NBA and the NHL, it's the Conference Finals. That's where both leagues are right now, and regarding the NHL, it's the round that will determine who will play for the prestigious Stanley Cup. The NHL has had some intriguing Final Fours in recent years, and this year is no different.

What Went Wrong: Canucks Fizzle in Game Seven
This was quite the dream season for the Vancouver Canucks. It was the best year they've had since the 2010-11 season. There were high expectations for the Canucks. Thatcher Demko's up for the Vezina. Quinn Hughes is up for the Norris. Players like Elias Pettersson, JT Miller, and Brock Boeser are lighting the lamp in bunches. It looked like things would go well for Vancouver.

Villainess Review: Janet Timms (The Bad Guardian)
One thing I love lately is that the Lifetime films have become quite star-studded. It used to be the true crime movies that snagged the big names, but we are seeing some well known names in the normal Lifetime thrillers as of late. This film, The Bad Guardian, is definitely no exception, with Melissa Joan Hart in the lead role as Leigh Davis-Delgado, the central protagonist of the film.
