'Last Night In Sweden'
On Saturday, President Trump held a fiery rally in an airport hanger Melbourne, Florida in front of thousands of his supporters. The rally was reminiscent of the boisterous crowds who gathered at Trump rallies during the 2016 presidential campaign. Trump covered many subjects, but as usual, one confusing comment in particular made headlines and had the collective world asking questions.

It’s been a wild few weeks for Gwinnett County (Ga.) Commissioner Tommy Hunter. Hunter, who was elected into office in 2012, is in hot water for a series of Facebook rants on various issues. The most recent rant involved Commissioner Hunter taking to Facebook to respond to Ga. Congressman John Lewis stating Donald Trump is an illegitimate President. Commissioner Hunter weighed in calling Congressman Lewis, a renowned civil rights leader, a “racist pig”.

I often find myself fascinated with the intricacies of how we perceive the truth; how we are willing to accept the truth or reject it in order to give ourselves peace of mind when confronted with inconvenient realities. It seems we as a society have become experts (whether it be consciously or subconsciously) in deconstructing what we know are factual truths and then reconstructing them to be more appropriate, more righteous, and even more politically correct. We perform mental gymnastics; accepting certain aspects of a factual reality, while omitting or outright rejecting other aspects of that same reality in order to drive home a point we want to make.

It seems that Press Secretary Sean Spicer can't catch a break. Between insisting that the turnout for President Trump's inauguration was at record levels (it wasn't) and Melissa McCarthy's over the top impersonation of him on Saturday Night Live, Spicer has been relentlessly skewered by comics, pundits and the general public. This skewering has occurred on television and on social media, and he just can't escape it.

In these unparalleled weird times, strange bedfellows are playing footsie with each other! The so called communist Russia and the ultra right fascist groups in Europe, are closely linked, as is the closeness of President Donald Trump with President Vladimir Putin. Even some Republican politicians are backing Trump's stance on Russia.

WASHINGTON, D.C. White House ---- Late Night Action !!! Just few hours after the Canadian PM Justin Trudeau left the White House, fire was smelled around the west wing. This fire, not to be extinguished - called for the resignation of Flynn, as Trump is known not to fire his favorite employees.

Note: This write-up does not intend to harm anyone’s religious sentiments. Reader’s discretion is advised. Somewhere in the heavens, almost all of the prophets mankind has ever known were sitting together working on a new project concerning humans. The project was in its initial stage of conceptualization and dealt with implementation of the right to move, travel and settle unrestricted in any part of this so called free world that was created by their boss (AKA the God) himself. Even after discussing for hours and hours they could not figure out a perfect way of implementing that concept on stubborn human beings. Thus, they all decided to escalate that matter to the God. Since the issue was sensitive and complex enough to baffle everybody’s mind, a unanimous voting held so as to elect few prophets who would then bring the matter to God’s attention. Prophets had to write fellow prophet’s name on a leaflet and drop that paper into a box. After sorting and counting of the votes it was declared that Krishna, Nanak, Mahavir, Jesus, Mohammad, Zoroaster and Buddha will visit God’s office and have a word with him regarding the introduction of the right for humans to move, travel and/or settle freely in any part of the world.

How many times have heard politicians say?...."We would love to have more....(fill in your own subject) but we just don't have the finances to spend at the moment!"
Michael BlairPublished 7 years ago in The SwampVoter ID Laws Are Disenfranchisement Politics As Usual
Three to five million illegal votes and Jeff Sessions our new attorney general, the voter fraud issue is going on full alert in the Trump Administration. But the concern amounts to nothing more than the Republicans taking out their playbook and putting disenfranchising politics in full gear. Their constituency eager to engage and vilify, historical facts demonstrate that political parties do not steal elections by getting random people to vote twice.
Rich MonettiPublished 7 years ago in The SwampMost Anti-LGBTQ Politicians
The more progress the LGBTQ rights movement makes, the more anti-LGBTQ political figures emerge from the woodwork. Instead of backpedaling and accepting their negative stances, now is the time to fight back and sustain the rights we have worked so hard for. This means recognizing our purported enemies, staying steadfast in our principles, and continuing to fight the most anti-LGBTQ politicians for LGBTQ equal rights.
Jules FortmanPublished 7 years ago in The SwampInfamous Bill Clinton Scandals
Bill Clinton is by all accounts something of a political Houdini; it seems the politician, philanthropist, and almost first First Gentleman has more or less managed to escape punishment over the decades, no matter what controversy befalls him. Sure, each scandal leaves him with some scarring—a tarnished reputation here, an investigation there—but no amount of salacious or questionable activity seems to be quite enough to ensure total destruction. Should you want to know how to spot one of these Clinton-Gates for yourself, the hallmarks of the many Bill Clinton scandals typically feature a questionable detail to start, which leads to an investigation, that ultimately concludes the detail is innocuous while also uncovering a tangential questionable detail in the process–And so the cycle continues...
