If you don't already know, moon rocks are one of the strongest forms of cannabis on planet Earth. Most folks familiar with the world of cannabis culture have probably at some point heard about the infamous moon rock. Even if they've heard of them, it's unlikely they know how to make moon rocks.

Don't fear dear stoner, this helpful guide to moon rocks will cover pretty much everything you need to know so you can discover the joys of this extremely potent treat on your own. Obviously we are talking about cannabis moon rocks, not to be confused with MDMA crystals, so if you're looking for a how to on that, you may have to turn elsewhere. It might be good to say moon rock weed, or even moon rock marijuana in conversation, just so everyone knows exactly what you’re talking about.

Cannabis moon rocks, sometimes referred to as cannabis caviar, makes a great once in a while treat for the more veteran users among us. Essentially, moon rocks are nugs of cannabis that have been soaked in hash oil, and then sprinkled with a rich covering of pure kief — yeah, I know, see you back on Earth. Not to be confused with edibles, these bad boys are meant to be smoked the old fashioned way.

Nobody is quite sure where the origins for this creation started — some think rapper Kurupt — but that really isn't the point here. You want to know how to make moon rocks, and if you have a high cannabis tolerance you're gonna want to, and luckily for you that can all be figured out below.

Supplies

What exactly are you going to need to make moon rocks? Most of this stuff I'll assume you already have — this is not cannabis for newbies — but I will mention it anyway. Some of this stuff might be harder to get than others, so give yourself some prep time if you really want to do this thing right.

First thing you're going to need is a grinder, and I assume if you're planning on making moon rocks it's something you've got. Next, you're going to want to look inside that grinder, because in there is the kief that will help make this journey possible. Don't have any kief in your grinder? Don't sweat it, there are other ways you can go about getting it.

We are going to need trichomes. If you don't know what they are, trichomes are tiny and crystal-like, and they form on the outside of the leaf and have the highest concentration of cannabinoids found anywhere on the plant. The last of the ingredients is hash oil. Hash oil is produced by a solvent extraction of marijuana and hashish. After filtering and evaporating the solvent, a sticky, resinous dark liquid with a strong herbal odor will remain.

The last few things we need are going to be easy to get your hands on household items. You're going to need some small tweezers, a dropper, and a small brush. These are your tools of the trade, and they are quite easy to use.

Put it All Together

Once you got what you need, you're going to want to break off a piece of the nugget and get it ready for its journey. Now, drizzle some hash oil over the entirety of the bud, don't be stingy but don't drench it so much that it's dripping.

Grab your tweezers and pick up the nug and drop it into the kief powder. Roll it all around so all the sides are covered, like you are powdering a zeppole or a baby's ass. Once it's all powdered up, set it aside to dry. Use your small brush to wipe up all the remnants, be careful to sweep anything that can be used for another time. Be sure that it's entirely dry, and once you're sure that it is, you're good to go.

A big misconception about moon rock weed is that it is a special strain of marijuana that has been scientifically bred for its THC concentration. Cannabis caviar is a little simpler than that, it just takes a little oil and keif and, of course, a bit of your favorite bud.

Time to Smoke

Once all the preparation is complete, you can smoke the moon rock using your preferred method, just make sure you don't accidentally lose a bunch of your keif in the process. You may want to put your grinder aside at this point and try opting for a sharp knife that will allow you more surgical precision. Then, you're free to roll it up into a joint, pack a bowl, whatever you want really.

You can even make edibles, but just be sure to go easy the first time you do it as these little things are strong. Just be sure you use the entirety of your moon rock, as these things don't come cheap and you're going to wan to get the most of the high. Be ready, because moon rocks are the strongest form of cannabis you’ll find anywhere — seriously.

The reasons for this should be pretty clear: you are mixing three different forms of cannabis. Many people make claims that this combination can produce a product with up to a 50 percent THC potency. However, you just don't have to get as high as possible, you can achieve medicinal effects including reduced nausea, anti-anxiety, and many more. This can be achieved by tweaking some of the products you use here or there.

Basically, it can be customized more to your liking, the more comfortable you get with the process. Now you know how to make moon rocks, enjoy!
