sitting alone, I listen to,
the sounds of silence,
the perpetual,
ringing in the ear,
distant thunder,
escorting a storm,
drawing near,
a passing car,
off not so far,
the furnace, awakened,
by a chill, preceding the storm,
rain, pitter, patter,
against the glass,
reminders of tiny feet,
now long passed,
chimes,
tinkling in the breeze,
the rustle of thousands,
and thousands,
of leaves;
and, the inner mind,
speaking within,
a soul searching,
where to begin?
silence,
could there be,
a quietness,
I fail to see?
void of sound,
does peace abound?
yet, I wonder,
is quiet still,
the best for me?
so, I proclaim,
with ringing bells,
within my silence,
the storm prevails!!
Thank you for reading, 😊😊

Well done!
This is magnificent and powerful just like a storm! Loved the lines about distant thunder escorting a storm! Very well done!
The lines "rain, pitter, patter, against the glass, reminders of tiny feet, now long passed" made me so emotional! If you need a break from the peace and quiet, come hang out on Vocal where we're loud and talkative ;)
Fantastic!!! Loved it!!!💕❤️❤️
